The 730 works great for sanning to my pad top or I-pad. This is for both written papers and photos.
The only thing that could improve the printer is a usb connection set-up.

I bought this Dec., 2012 for my winter home in AZ for the ease of the refill kit. I loved it so much I purchased a second one for my IA home.
I no longer have ink replacement issues when I switch home locations every 6 months. I just use the convenient refill.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Brought this printer last week set it up and had to take it back for another one, faulty software. After doing so I set this one up and everything's a breeze, prints great pictures.
Had an artisan 700 enjoyed it very much until it died out on me. Happy with this unit so far.

I have not yet been able to print a CD. Haven't quite figured it out. A small roller fell out of the printer while trying to determine how to print CDs. However, that is not a high priority for me. I said I would never again have a printer that fed from the front and output at the front (180° turn), but this printer has made a liar out of me. It works well. It prints excellently. The draft mode for text or even pictures is often good ore almost good enough for what I actually want as an end product. It has features I have barely used but work well. I really like this printer!

I have had a lot of experience with the much more expensive photo printing professional "Stylus Pro" line of printers, which i love and have received amazing quality prints from them. When I was searching for a home printer that would do at least a passable photo print job for home photos, I came across the artisan all in one 730. I was skeptical at first that a cheap all in one would be able to hold up to higher end models, but I was pleasantly surprised as I found that this affordable little all in one printer actually did produce even better photos than I was expecting. They may not be perfect archival quality prints, but they do a really fine job! The only problem I've had so far is that when loaded with heavier stock premium photo paper I tend to get a lot of paper jams from the feed tray. Other than that I love it and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a good quality home printer!
