Good general printer/fax machine.
the photos, copied from facebook, are good.
The cartridges are easy to replace. and I like the idea that each color is separate.

Skip this for a low cost all-in-one studio printer.
Epson offers others.
Many "error" glitches that never occurred with my old Epson CX5200 (which I dearly coveted). Clarity of images and color calibration from what I see on my computer screen and what is printed differ greatly. I wish the paper feed was the same configuration as the 5200, which accepted small heavier art papers beautifully.
An OK unit for studio file copies, playing with photos, info flyers.
Epson offers others.

Very happy with my Artisan 730 printer but not happy at all with the cost of the ink. I would rather pay a little more for the printer and get cheaper ink.

Best Printer I've Owned

We have used Epson printer exclusively in our recording studio business because of the capability to print directly on CD-DVD surfaces. We had the 200, 300, 320, 340 and now the Artesian 730 This one smokes them all by many times over. The sharpness accuracy, speed and reliability are amazing. All of that and I only need to plug it in to power because it's Wi-Fi ready. Wow, now everyone on the network, including iPhones can print to this printer. I am more than pleased. Thanks Epson for making our life easier and better.

Having Win 8, I was concerned about this printer.
No problem, 5 minutes after I used the driver site,
I was working the printer. Great photos. I have nothing to hook up but usb, so don't know the wireless situation. I would trust Epson's technology. Uses a tad bit more ink than my old 220-R, but don't they all. Used about 3 weeks, so far perfect. Not one problem.

I have had the 730 a year now and did a
lot of checking other products and other Epson printers. I love the color of printed photos also the speed of printing. The one thing I kept reading was that the paper return was flimsy. I don't use printer everyday and like the fact it stores inside when not being used. I have actually broke the big stationary returns that protrude out by bumping them. This is my 4th Epson over the years and very satisfied.
