I've had other printers, (Major brands) but none would compare to the Artisan 730. This is my second one that I use in a different area.

Updated to the Artisan 730 from the Artisan 710. Love this printer. I like the new touch screen, easier to use than on the 710. Awesome printing in color and easy to print on CD/DVDs. Highly recommend this printer.

Epson continues to be at the top of my list with this all in one printer. I used Epson for years, then switched to another company thinking I would save some money on ink. I was wrong, the quality of pictures and plain printing on paper never came near the quality of my epson products. So I returned quickly as a Epson consumer! This printer does a fabulous job on pictures, scanning, and normal printing. Colors are the same as originals. The ink is water proof, which is great when printing presentations, pictures etc....the only down side is we cannot fax with this model.
I would recommend this to a friend!

CD/DVD print

I got for this printer to print lable on CD/DVD and has done a great job, but use lot of ink for other printing. So use mostly for DVD/CD printing.

Haven't used it a lot but so far so good. I print a lot of CD's (that's why I bought this one).

Printer is fast
CD tray is convenient. better than the separate tray of my old RX595.
Photos are awesome.

Color of printed CD is not what I see in the software image.
Don't care much for the paper feed.
As usual ink is way too expensive. Will probably end up using aftermarket ink when I run out.

Was fairly easy to learn to use with the step by step visual panel on the front. Quick picture printing and very clear prints.

Great All-in-One printer

Excellent quality output, especially for color pictures. Two-sided printing is very useful. Printing in reverse order means no sorting of the output.
Having two paper feeds, one for regular paper and one for photo paper is very convenient. It makes moving back and forth from text printing to picture printing seamless.
The scanner works very well with the included software, and copying is very versatile and easy to use. I find the ability to adjust the front instruction/status window very useful.
Changing ink cartridges is quite straightforward and easy to do.
I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Artisan 730 IMHO

I bought this printer to use for printing my photos as I have other printers for less critical work. I have evaluated its other functions just to see if they would work well if needed. I am quite pleased with the results as a photo printer as well as its other functions. I would have rated it as 5 stars, if not for the flimsy materials of construction. I generally treat it as though it will fall apart at any minute because that is the feel that I get from it.
