Over many years (I'm now 86) I have used many printers. My recently purchased Epson Artisan 730 is by far the best I have used. I could rave on about the speed of printing, many handy features such as a tilting control panel, ease of printing photos, etc., but the bottom line is the excellent product coming from the printer. I unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone desiring the best printer on the market.

Received today & wireless set-up was a snap. I'm not tech savy at all & even I handled it with ease! Standard printing is very fast & photo's are absolutely AWESOME. Quietest printer I've ever seen & trust me, I've gone through quite a few in my 66 years. Controls are very straight forward & easy to understand & use. Can't beat it for the price!

I've had this printer for 6 months and so far it had worked fine. I like the fact that I'm able to print on both sides of the paper because of the double side feature. When printing is fast and has many print options, like economy and fast draft which are real ink saver. My favorite feature about this printer is the cd/dvd printer because I love to make DVDs about my kids and now I'm able to to print a title and a picture on them (printable DVDs). The only reason I don't give it a 5 star is because the color aren't as brilliant as they claim to be (High definition ink).

Works great with iPhone, iPad2, and Macbook Pro

I just installed this printer so I can't comment well on overall use but I am tickled to death that I can now print from all the Apple products listed in the title. I installed the printer to my wireless/cable modem to my internet provider via Wireless setup on the printer keypad. My iPhone and iPad2 both printed without a problem before I even installed the printer on my computer.
For my Macbook OS10.7 Lion I had to download new drivers from the internet rather than use the included CD. No prob. It installed and printed fine.
My previous printer, another company, was not AirPrint compatible even when connected to an Apple AirPort Express unit. Not the printer's fault, there is a list of compatible printers. I have now removed the AirPort Express unit and its secondary wifi network. Less clutter all around.
The printer prints fine and seems to be well-featured. It has separate trays for regular paper and photo paper so it can be loaded and ready to go. It will use and print legal size. It prints double sided, as I've discovered. It scans but does not fax. I did not need a fax. It is 17.5" wide and fits my deep but 18.5" wide cabinet shelf. It has 6 separate color cartridges including black. Hopefully that is a good thing. The salesclerk told me the ink is oil-based and will last longer than the water-based ink on some other printers. We shall see. I bought it on sale at a considerable discount which leads me to believe perhaps this model is being phased out. Dunno and don't care. Looks like a keeper!

Printer Perfection

This is the best printer ever. It offers all of the features I need - and only what I need. One of my past printers was primarily a fax machine; I have no need to fax from nor to receive faxes at home. The manufacturer of my last printer boasted about its ink economy, yet proved to be the most expensive. This Epson Artisan 730 is blazing fast, with professional grade results, easy-to-read ink levels and authentic, verifiable economy.

I purchased this printer not only for all the features it had but mainly for it's ability to print CD's. I have only had it a few hours and was impressed at how easy it was to get it up and running. I have already put it through it's paces and it is meeting all my expectations. I think I am going to love it. I had only a minor problem trying to get it to print the CD lables. The tutorial was just what I needed to to answer all my questions. This is one great machine for the money. And yes I have it on a wireless network, and that was a breeze to setup also.
