Scanning to e-mail

I like the overall performance of this printer, especially since it is wireless and enables both myself and my husband to access it .
One problem for me is scanning a document and then e-mailing it. I like to scan to a document folder and then e-mail - is there another way to do this that is easier?

Scanner is the problem

This machine was easy to set up and all my devices (Toshiba laptop, 2 iPhones, and my MacPro) printed easily. Copy function works great too. I'm connected by WiFi on all my devices. When I want to scan, the Artisan does not "see" the MacPro on it's screen. It sees the Toshiba laptop in the other room just fine and displays the Epson Settings and Adjustments Menu on the Toshiba. It does not "see" the Mac Pro that is only 2 feet away from it. Consequently, I do not get to use the Settings and Adjustments screen. Remember, everything prints from all devices so obviously the WiFi is working. I like to scan old negatives and slide transparencies but I'm not sure I can do it on this machine. But then, I've only had it a few days now - there's probably a learning curve. I'm just glad I saved my old Epson 2400 scanner and its attachments because it does all transparencies, both negative as well as positive, beautifully.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Printer Artisan 730

After only a few days I have mastered most of the abilities this printer offers and there are many. It is very quiet and the print quality is just super. It has many improvements over my last 2 printers Artisian 710's which did well but print heads clogged rather quickly.

Epson Artisan 730

Recently installed this printer with no difficulty. This is the first time I have attempted to install anything on my own and was pleasantly surprised when it went smoothly. Test page printed as expected. Wireless printing from two different laptops on site without any problems. Will delay giving it a top rating until I see how it performs over a little more time.

Great printer

Replaced an eight year old Epson with this one. Maybe I'm just wowed by advancing technology, but I love this printer. Fast and smart. Now my wife can print via WiFi, an added bonus. Great CD printing as well. Only negatives: no real mention of CD printing in the documentation, had to figure it out - the tray barely shows itself. No sweat, you just tuck in the disc. Cheap price for a great printer, but tiny ink cartridges - that's where the expense will lie.
