The 730 was easy to set up, and has been a great printer for my home office. It is simple to use, and I have had no problems.

Our 4th Epson printer

We bought another brand that was a disaster from the beginning. Then we got the Artisan 730. The difference was like night and day. Extremely easy to set up, controls are intuitive, 2 sided printing functions perfectly, scans and copies without any drama what so ever and has not had any issues at all. The wireless setup only took a few minutes and was absolutely painless. So far ink usage has been very frugal, which is good as the cartridges aren't cheap.
We haven't printed any color photos yet, but I expect they will turn out beautiful as they always have with our other Epsons. So far I've been very pleased with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson Artisan 730

I had a lovable, very old, very dependable Epson 820. Unfortunately, it died today after many years of service. It told me its internal parts were not reparable. That was cool. I had just bragged on it yesterday.
So, I went to Staples and bought a new Epson 730. After setup, disc download and one trial run (I had not loaded the paper properly), it worked flawlessly and faster than my old 820. Plus it has a built in scanner.
Great printer, great price.

Printer was easy to set up both for my computer and my ipad. I love the ability to print no matter where I am at!!! I bought this one to replace my old Epson that finally wore out.

WiFi Signal Gives me a Headache

I was really excited about this printer for its capacity to print photos and artwork quickly. However, even though I was planning on using the printer with a cable, the WiFi signal it was putting out was so strong that it made my head hurt for several hours even after I turned it off.
Also, the paper tray was really flimsy and the tray sizer controls were very finicky--worried that I'd break it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The set up was easy and I even set up wireless with no problems. Going to be using this for color photos and I have so far printed two which are beautiful.
