The Epson Artisan 730 is the best printer scanner we have had. It effortlessly prints with wi-fi from our laptops, ipads and iphones. I definitely recommend this for use with Apple products.

HORRIBLE PRINTER

I GOT THIS PRINTER FOR CHRISTMAS ONE YEAR AND THE FIRST TIME I EVER PRINTED I HAD TROUBLE! I HAVE NOT HAD A TIME WHEN I DID NOT HAVE TROUBLE WITH THIS STUPID PRINTER. THE WHOLE REASON FOR THE PRINTER WAS TO PRINT PICTURES AND THE PICTURES HAVE LINES ACROSS THEM. IT HAS PROBLEMS GRABBING PAGES. NOW IT USED A BRAND NEW THING OF INK WHEN I HAD ONLY PRINTED ONE PAGE! THIS NOW MEANS IN ORDER TO PRINT ANYTHING I HAVE TO BUY MORE INK BECAUSE IT WONT EVEN PRINT IN BLACK AND WHITE ONLY!!! SAD EXCUSE FOR A PRINTER!!!!!!!!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far I like it a lot. I had a perfectly good printer but it did not print on printable dvds. This does a great job. I'm really happy. This printer has also done a good job with my other printing needs.

For home use it's great. Set up was easy. Instrusctions were easy to follow. Have not printed any photos yet, but every thing else is really good. Printer is fast. Anticipate photos will be excellent.

Linux driver troubles

I'd expected the Linux drivers for this thing to be short of the mark in support for special features such as disk label printing, but it seems there's no way to print duplex (double sided) even though this is a major feature of the printer. I'd recommend the printer only to a Win/Mac user.

So called "epson artisan 730" is a piece of old rubbish. PDF scan over wi-fi connection to Mac OS 10.8.2 does not work. JPEG scan works better.

Difficult

I believe myself to be pretty tech savvy but I found it pretty difficult to hook up to my PC and IPad for wireless connection. After many hours I got it all done but still cannot get to print the 4x6 pictures from my computer?

this printer has to be undeniably the worst excuse for a printer i have ever owned , and i have 6 other printers in my studio as i type this. i couldn't get a bright, clear, non grainy semi ok picture no matter what i tried. i am a photographer and i count on my pictures being brilliantly printed and the colors vivid and detailed. i wouldn't give this to a person who just needed a printer to copy a written document, let alone a colorful picture.
