so far so good...excellent prints but do hope it lasts longer than my Artisan 810, which no longer would pick paper up...when they work they can't be beat....go for it...

So far, so good. I haven't really printed my color photos, yet, but wait perhaps I can do it now, seems O.K., but I have to figure out not to make it my default printer.

Good basic printer and scanner

This computer was ordered as a replacement for the Artisan 800 (printer pads out) thinking that it used the same ink cartridges as the 800. It does not use the same ink cartridges and does not have fax capabilities even though listed in the all-in-one category. It is a good basic printer and scanner if that is all you need.

The set up was fabulously easy - the instructions were a breeze to follow for a novice like me! The print quality is great - my only reservation is that the printer makes a lot of noise.

Best All-in-One for printing CD/DVD's
on November 11, 2012

Ths is my third Epson. The first was an Epson Stylus Photo R220 Ink Jet Printer. This printer needed a separate tray to print CD/DVD's. It was a chore to line up properly. All other printer models that I could afford still use this antiquated technology. My second was an Artisan 700 All-in-One. It was practically perfect. The built in CD/DVD tray lined up quickly and accurately. I NEVER got a bad print on CD/DVD, plain paper or photo paper. The only reason I replaced this gem was an error - "The printer's ink pads are at the end of their service life. Please contact Epson support". While I think there could be a replaceable waist container, in the absence of such a container, I gladly bought the Artisan 730. The printing is just as good with the 2 sided printing multiplexer added at no additional cost. I always buy real Epson Claria ink for the rich smudge resistant finish my customers can appriciate! As long as this high qualty is maintained I will always buy Epson.

Best Printer we ever owned

The quality of the photo print is exceptional. After showing people the photos we printed, they thought they were professional prints. The extensive features of the printer are easy to use. The WIFI was easy to set-up. We have never been happier with a printer. The price was economical to boot. Epson will be our first choice in the future.

Photos great...accessibility from iPad & iPhone the primary reason for the purchase.... I had an Epson Artisan 710 and the reserve ink cartridges I had work in the 730!!!! If it prints DVDs as well as the 710 I'm verrry happy.

Excellent color reproduction for artwork

I'm still learning about this printer but if it's anything like other Epson printers, I'm sure I'll like the art prints which I plan to do with it. My previous Epson printer was a Stylus and after 5 years, it's starting to print blurry pictures even after several alignment attempts. It was still good while it lasted. I'll update this later if I can with addtional info on actual printed pictures. Setup took about an hour; not complicated but long.
