I bought This Printer To Print CD/DVD labels Man It Is Awesome I Used A Light Scribe To Print In Gray Scale It Took About 20 Min To Print This Printer Prints In Color And Took about 2 Min To Do I Made About 20 CD Labels And The Ink Cartridges Barely Moved Off The Full Level And The Color Is Perfect I Would Highly Recommend This Product

EPSON Artisan 730

I purchased an Epson 730 on sale to provide wireless print capability to my iPhone 4S and iPad2. It is also tied to my wireless home network and available to my iMac and MacBook Pro. It replaced an older photo printer. I also have an EPSON Photo Stylus R380 on my wireless network which I have had several years. I have already used the 730 to scan, print, copy, print cd and wireless print from my iPhone and everything worked perfectly including two sided printing. Set-up was easy using EPSON's web site to download all the drivers because I am running OS X 10.7. I really like the built-in CD/DVD print tray for convenience. This is a step-up from the R380 and its stand alone tray.
The only faults I find with the 730 is the paper storage tray and print output tray which seem to be light weight and flimsy. However, I still give it 5 Stars for ease of use and performance.

Unfortunately there is nothing to replace the Epson Photo Stylus R800 series. The Epson Artisan 730 does not even come close to its quality. The Artisan is NOT good for typography or graphics since it does not have postscript built in. Even though the Artisan is a scanner, printer and fax all rolled into one, I consider it as a single function printer, since I can only use it for unimportant printing. Too bad, it might have had a chance at being excellent if only Epson would commit to postscript. The paper handling is questionable and the footprint too large.

for what I have used it for already, it does a great job. I like the fact that you can replace only the ink color that you use.
For the price it does a great job on photos and also prints good on CDs. I bought this one because my prior printer was an Epson Photo printer and I never had any problems with it. It worked well from WIn 98 through XP.

Great wireless printer

Bought this printer primarily to upgrade to wireless printing. Setup was a breeze, it recognized my wifi, just plugged in the password and loaded the disk in my pc and was up an running. Now I can print from pc, iPad, and 3 iPhones with no problem. Other features: scanner, 2 sided printing, and 3x5 printing a plus. But wireless, yahoo! Great product.
