out of the box, plugged in my camera on a big job. printed continuously for 3 hours in the sun and heat. Never missed a print, never jammed, operated flawlessly against another similiar printer that jammed several times, went thru ink like it was water, and had to be reset several times. I have Epson printers at work and they are reliable and print exceptionally well compared to other printers. Also the setup and installation was quick and very user friendly, even for a computer dummy, like me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent print quality, poor construction

To use a metaphor this printer is like a Lexus engine put into a Pinto body. This printer has amazing print quality and speed for an all-in-one but it is very cheaply made. The paper tray is flimsy thin plastic and the front tray cover doesn't close well. I also had trouble with it printing thick paper straight. It feeds thick paper slightly off. If you are using it for mainly just photos it does a great job. Some slight problems with Mac install but there are fixes for it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this printer for the sole purpose of printing out a picture on top of my CD/DVD's. Obviously, it does a lot more than that but I really like my pictures so that's what I focus on! The most amazing thing is how extremely EASY it is to print out a photo from not only your computer but also from your iPhone without any need to connect it. Works off of Wi-Fi network!! We had some family over and they were so impressed with the ease of use of this printer. Plus, the pictures printed out really fast. Get it! You will not be disappointed.

Artisan 730 AIO Printer

Excellent results in printing to inkjet surface CD/DVD media. I produce videos and using the Print CD utility provides solid and professional results. There are not too many disk printers available out there but if there were, I would still buy an Epson. Also the Epson Scan utility works flawlessly and although very simple to use, gives you many options to fine tune your scans. Of course, normal printing is reliable and flawless as well. Overall a great printer for the money.

Easy as pie

just bought a new Artisan 730 and installed in on my Gateway PC with Win 7. Also installed it on my travel laptop and my wifes travel laptop.
Works flawlessly on all three. Installation was a snap with no glitches, bugs or snafus. Wish I had gotten this 730 sooner. It replaced two well used Stylus CX3800s! Printed some photos and other stuff and all went well. Epson Rocks!!!!

My new Artisan 730

I have had my new Epson Artisan 730 printer for several months now and it has performed very nicely. It replaces my old Epson R-200 which I used for 8X11 inch photo printing and printing to ink jet printable CD's and DVD's. I see no significant difference between the printing quality and they both run out of ink too quickly in my opinion but at least this Artisan 730 offers higher capacity ink catridges for the color cartridges. Don't take this wrong, I don't think I have ever been happy with the ink supply capacity of any printer I have used in the last 20 plus years. Thanks Epson for making these fine printers. I really like the ability to print wirelessly. Now I need to get a reason to try out the built in scanner feature so I can be even more impressed.
