Upgrade from R260 to Artisan 730

After having used the R260 model for last past four years, and reaching the end of life for the printer, I needed a new printer that could handle CD/DVD printing. Since I had a good experience with other Epson products, the first choice for a replacement was another Epson product. The price was amazing, the capabilities of the printer was much greater than the R260, and the Artisan 730 not only is much faster, but is WiFi capable. Set it up in minimal time (1 hour), connected to 4 computers, and the quality of the output was excellent. All in all, I am very satisfied.

Epson turns out another great printer

I initially purchased this printer for direct to disc printing of CD's and DVD's. Unfortunately, no one knew how fast it can print the complete face of a disc, but I'm happy to report it can print a full face CD or DVD in about 1 minute. I then had to print DVD inserts on glossy paper and the quality was absolutely professional. My customer loved it.

Poor Software

The only way that I could get a good picture, was to put my memory card right into the printer. When using the software that installed on my computer, the pictures were very poor. I run Windows XP Home Ed. I get better pictures on my old printer that is just basic. --Broke my heart, because I really wanted a better printer. So I had to return it. :(

I WAS REALLY EXCITED TO GET THE PRINTER UNTIL I TRIED TO PRINT. THE NORMAL DAY TO DAY PRINTING WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING BECAUSE THE COLOR IS NOT SHARP IT PRINTS VERY LIGHT.

The new epson 730 that I bought does a fine job of printing pictures but the loading tray not so good sometimes it picks up more than one sheet of paper. And I found it hard to install. If they correct this they will have a fine printer. I have always bought epson printers. I have a cx6600 and a nx415

My last Epson lasted 6 years so I wanted to stay with the brand. The Artisan 730 all in one has very good specs. I like 6 inks compared to 4. I bought two (on sale and turned in old printer for additional discount so very reasonable price). Set up was easy but had alittle trouble with the 2nd. Epson support helped me without hassle. Love the wireless aspect. First time for me. I can use one printer for my pc, tablet, lap top, smart phone, and itouch. Have not tried everything yet. Like the two sided feature. Takes up same space as my old printer but has a low profile. I went to 3 different stores and the tech people all thought it was a very good product. I feel I made a wise choice

For the twenty years I worked as a graphic designer I always used Epson printers. For the last 7 years working at home with a free lance business I have used my wife's printer (brand X). It finally came time for me to get own printer, and of course Epson was my brand of choice. I have never really had any kind of serious problem using my Epson's. I was happy to find that setting up my New Artisan 730 and loading the drivers was easy and trouble free. An, as usual the print quality is second to none. I can't say enough about the quality and dependability of your product.
