Still unable to set date and time for FAX but otherwise, seems to be well built and easily operated.

I had owned an HP694C printer, which was several years old. The new 8600 replaced this one. The 8600 is soooo fast and quiet, I don't hardly know that it is turned on. The print quality is outstanding. Thanks, for a great printer.

I thought that this printer was fairly easy to install but the set up instructions on these printers gets less and less detailed... for example -- no clear instruction on all of the cords needed to connect the printer to the PC and internet access.
Had to use the cord from my former printer to complete set up on this printer.
Then after going on line with HP to download a fix so the PRINT command would execute, all has been running fine! No jammed paper feeds like on my 6500 model HP....and scan function works great....

OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus

I thought switching from the PhotoSmart Premium printer to the OfficeJet Pro 8600 would enhance my printing capabilities, but in fact, nothing is perfect. I'm using less ink, but the end printing quality is less than desirable. I don't always get the option to print the "best" the printer can print, so the end result isn't that good. In defense of the printer, I'm a novice with all the features, so it will take time for me to understand how to use this new device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had a previous model of an HP all-in-one. The touch panel controls make the tasks simple to navigate. Enjoying the efficiency & ease of use of this model with all the great features.
