Not happy with purchase

I received my printer and it was like what I saw in the stores. BUT, IT DID NOT COME WITH A USB CORD AND IT WAS SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE I COULD HOOK UP MY PRINTER AND USE IT. The USB cord should be a part of the printer purchase and not a separate order. I will keep this unit, but if I had it to do over again, I would look for a different brand to buy. If the unit had been supplied with the USB cord, then I would give it a better rate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is an excellent printer, fax, copier, everything! Very easy to set up, connected wirelessly without a problem, set up the fax automatically, and seems to be far more solid that my previous printer (HP 7680). The only thing I can fault it on is photo print quality--nil. Otherwise, this is a great, great product.

The color print quality is very poor. This product is no better quality than the 8500 that it replaced for the same reasons. It produces print as though the quality settings were set to DRAFT instead of BEST.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband & I had been going back & forth about buying a new printer since our old HP was still in working condition, but we really wanted the wireless printing feature. I am SO glad we bought this printer & wish we had done it sooner!! The print quality is awesome & I love that you can do double sided prints (and set that as a default!).
Two minor drawbacks - 1) this printer is much bigger than our old one, so we had to move quite a few things around in our office to accomodate it, and 2) you can't just press "print" if you're connected through a VPN - makes working from home a bit difficult since you need to email each document you need to print.
Overall though - love my purchase! :)

So Far so Good

Have had it for about a two weeks. My first one malfuctioned out of the box & I received a new one two days later. 2nd one has been functioning well. I really would call this thing a mini copy machine. This thing does more then I expected. I've had two jams (one was the last sheet of paper in the tray) and the other was my fault. The software seems pretty good for scanning. Tried the fax machine also & works great. Haven't tried printing photo's yet. Overall, very impressed. HP has upset me in the past, I hope that as time goes on this will continue to impress me.
