I only had this printer for less than a month. It is networked with my wife's computer. Haven't tried the fax or e-print yet, but appreciate the features I have tried (print, scan, copy).

I wanted this printer the first time I saw it. It has everything I need and then some. It works great and I've had no issues to date, though I've only had it a month. Thanks HP!

Love the "finger drag" screen. This printer reacts faster with commands than the 8500 I previously had and much quieter operationally...

Can scan legal but paper tray is only letter size

I bought this model because the scanner glass will handle both letter and legal size pages. Unfortunately, however, the paper drawer won't handle anything larger than letter size. Plus, you have to close the extension on the output tray any time you want to open the paper drawer in order to add or change paper. On earlier models you could simply lift the output tray and slide the paper in. And the drawer was long enough to accept either letter or legal paper. This way, I have to carefully slip a few pages of legal paper through the narrow space between the drawer and output tray and feed them in by hand. It's hard to understand why such inconvenient design changes, which result in a nuisance several times a day, were made.

Works with Mac OS 10.8

While trying to set up the printer, I was surprised to find out it didn't work with the operating system on my MacBook Pro that is about 1 year old. The disk cryptically referred me to the general website. When I checked the website specs, it did say it only worked up to OS 10.7. I couldn't figure out how to find software updates on the website. However, when I contacted customer service, they sent me a link for the updated software and everything seems to work now. I like the wireless printing options.

Excellent All-in-one Printer

While I am writing this from home, I use this new printer in my office for business use. This is my 4th of 5th HP printer and they just seem to keep getting better. One thing that comes to mind is not having a big converter at the end of the power cord. Evidently if a converter is needed it is now built into the printer itself. Wonder why they didn't do that a long time ago? This printer has excellent speed, print quality, and scanning that is extremely fast. All in all, a great choice for me.
