Excellent office AND home use

We had a IT friend set-up the printer for us and he set it up for wireless and smartphone usage.
It was installed Saturday and by Saturday night we were using it with our laptops. I've even sent an e-mail from my cell phone from work and it printed up very nicely and timely!

The hardware installed w/o an issue. The software install process (Window 7) was fantastic. This worked first time (as opposed to the 8500 software that was problematic at times). The printer works great and is significantly more quiet that the 8500 it replaced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Pro 8600 Plus is all it is cracked up to be. It's fast and easy to use. Like the 2 side printing, scan and fax..

Upgraded to this after the print heads gave out on my Officejet 8500. Easy setup. All wireless connections as was the 8500. Setup the E-Print capability which didn't work at first but after I restarted the printer it was fine. E-print is nice option for remote printing and cell phone access. Hasn't missed a beat yet. Very nice prints, fast scan and printing. I liked the Twain scanner interface on the 8500 better however - it had alot more options to enhance the scan and the ability to resize the scan window.

Abundant features, crisp, clean printing with duplexing, completely operable without ever using printer controls on printer. Allows ink to dry if printing multiple pages to prevent smearing. One of the best multi-function devices on the market. Handles all aspects of a home or small office with excellent results. Great value!!

Feature packed at a great price, the HP 8600 Plus fits all my printing, copying, faxing and scanning needs. And wireless to top it off. It's what I've been looking for!

I like this printer. It is easy to use. It has great network connectiveity. I have it hardwired to our network, and it is visible to all our devices. it works with our Windows XP as well as our new Windows 8 machine. I love being able to print on two sides of the paper automatically. I have scanned many documents and the interface is easy to use. Setup was easy. I have not used the eprint function, but I look forward to using it to print from off-site places.

I upgraded from an Officejet 6500 that has served me well for years. I wanted a printer that was close to the 6500 in features. The 8600 surpassed my expectations in everything it does. Some reviews say that the 8600 went through the included ink quickly. I am still using my included ink with plenty of ink remaining on all cartridges. I do a tremendous amount of scanning of photos for slideshows. I love the 14" scanner bed for that purpose. I can scan more photos at once. This is an amazing printer and I highly recommend it.
