color of printer & output tray & noisy

Color of printer is too dark, esp., for older eyes.
Output tray doesn't move making it more difficult to add paper to tray underneath it.
Manual that came with the printer did not address the features of this all-in-one.
Also, sounds like the paper is jamming when it is picked up to print.
Very noisy printer!!

my first time installing a printer - It went very well. I am sold on the HP machine and all of its features. wish I could enlarge/shrink but it is perfect for our little office environment. I replaced our big old outdated copier with it.

Small, light, compact. Setup easy out of the box. I would recommend uninstalling previous HP printer (eg my old L7580) prior to setup, but not mandatory -- caused minor conflict. Otherwise working great! ePrint works easily on my HTC phone, will be handy. Went to website to download full feature driver and installed this after uninstalling the basic driver that came with printer. Network setup without trouble. Overall very satisfied with the printer so far.

Best OJ Ever (That I know of)

The HP Officejet 8600 is the best inkjet printer I have ever had. I spent more on this because it was highly recommended in a PCWorld magazine review and it was worth every penny. I may never buy a cheapo printer again. This printer seems extremely intuitive. It prints envelopes well (a 2nd tray would be great for this). It has multiple color cartridges which simply must be more cost effective. For the first time in my memory, I have a printer that is fast and trouble-free. After several months of use, everything about it seems easy. I hope HP lets the same design team do all their printers because this one is excellent. I bought two more for my seasonal offices. Can an inkjet get any better than this one?

I like this printer. It prints good and quick. I would recommend it to any one. Also it did not mess up any of my programs example like excel, word... All my programs work great!!!!

Set up was a breeze. All functions worked as stated. However, I do not have a land line to test the fax capabilities. Love the eprint apps that are available. Having a wifi printer is awesome. The printer has far exeeded my expectations.

Good machine, compact, lightweight

The 8600 Plus overall is a good machine. For an all-in-one, it is compact in size and weighs less than 30 lbs. I like all of the features it offers, especially the ePrint and wireless capabilities. The only problem I had was the touchscreen control panel locked up on the second day I had the machine. HP support tried feverishly to help me fix the problem over the phone. When nothing we tried worked, they sent me a new printer. I recieved the replacement in 2 days and everything is working well. The only reason for my overall 4 out of 5 rating is that my old all-in-one had stopped working and the control panel issue caused me to be without a printer for 2 days, which was a bit of an inconvenience.
I would recommend this to a friend!
