The printer was fairly easy to install and operate. I purchased it because it has a legal size flat bed scanner. So far it is working great.

I really like this printer and hope that what they say about the ink is true. I had other HP printers and had to ignore their out of ink notices. This has too cool features also, I haven't used them all and I haven't printed any pictures yet but I am impressed with all that I have printed for the start of my kindergarten year.

After using this nice printer usually one can find a draw back. It prints great, it great copy options, the auto document feeder works great. It can even scan a document to a folder on my computer on the network in my house. Setup was easy as can be. Many more fun options.
One small gripe is that its ability to pickup cardstock on the first go. This includes business cards, I have to push ok, four times before it picks up the paper. But once to have done that, the rest of the copies made pick up fine. Even if you stop printing and realize you need one more, it prints fine. Until you go back to plan and back to cardstock. Maybe this could be fixed in a firmware update. To which I hope this helps both you and HP.

This is the second 8600 e-printer purchased for my business, one for each office. It is easy to set-up, the functions make it a production center for all the e-devices that form the foundation of the business. It brings a lot of productivity in a small foot print and the cost of ink is in-line with our budget. The quality of the documents produced are equal to more expensive products used elsewhere.

After figuring out all the features of the printer I find it to be pretty cool. It took me a while with the eprint portion and I haven't yet gotten the efax going but I feel confident that when I do it will work great as well.

I "love" this HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 all in one printer!!! There isn't a thing it can't do..Excellent device for the price. Don't ever buy a printer that's not made by HP.

Jury is still out. Haven't had it long enough to honestly rate it. But, so far so good. It definetly out preforms my HP 7310 (which I've had in service for about 10 years, with zero problems)
