Very slow in quanity printing and scaning

An average product. Slow when you need a number of prints and scan is also slow.
My 8500 was a much better product. Fortunately, my wife still has hers so I can utilize it when I need a quicker turn around or better scan.

After one week I've experienced two phantom "paper jams" where the printer detected a paper jam despite no paper jam or for that matter, no paper movement since the previous successful print job. In the process of clearing the phantom jam, the printer's own procedure calls for turning off then back on the printer. When I go to turn off the printer, it pops up a warning that eminent damage to printer cartridges will occur if I turn off the printer. This happened 6/4 and 6/5 2012, with the printer in operation only a few days. That being said, the printer works well usb and wirelessly, and the wireless scanning is smooth, too. If it continues to be buggy - it's going back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer is so much better than the 8500 that we purchased for our church a year ago. They have fixed a lot of the bugs. I was able to set it up quickly and love being able to print from wherever I am working on a computer. The print outs are clear and crisp. It is still new so not sure yet how much ink it will go through.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Over the years I have owned or used many HP printers. This is the best of all of them. It is great for printing wirelessly from any room in my house with a variety of computers, iPads and cell phones. It also seems to be very economical with ink, and can be used to print on a wide range of paper sizes from photo paper to card stock.
I would recommend this to a friend!
