I cannot remember how many times I set this up as a range extender only to find later that day that it had stopped transferring data. Well, it does work as a hot spot. Be patient, the configuration interface is slower than most to respond. Overall a frustrating and disappointing purchase

Installation instructions (software configuration) were sparse. I had to google until I found help that explained the basic concept of the figuration ("mesh"). Since installation spacial coverage has improved, but I am suffering frequent, intermittent, unexplainable internet (wifi?) interrutptions.

The Netgear Extender EX6100v2

I live in a mobile home and their construction, notoriously, inhibits the range of wireless transmissions. This extender is wonderful. It was simple to set up and the range it provides is great. Not only do I get a strong signal to the bedrooms that hardly had a signal in the past, I even get a signal out in my carport. I cannot recommend this enough for people who are having signal strength issues in their homes.
