Smooth Streaming

We recently purchased an extender because our modem and Netgear router are in our living room in the center of the house and I guess due to many walls in between, our back bedrooms do not have the strongest signal. This makes it challenging for our daughter to try to have Zoom meetings or FaceTime calls or for us to try to stream the occasional show from bed from our phones. That wasn’t so bothersome, but the freezing Facetime calls with Grandma and the Zoom meetings having spotty reception was an issue, so we got one and gave it a try. Setup took a little longer than I thought, but we figured it out. Our hallway is the “in between” point that is suggested for the extender, but we don’t have many outlet options, so we gave it a try in our daughter’s room. The signal was strong enough to work and it has amplified it to a full strong signal. She now happily Facetimes Grandma and her BFF without freezing and silence. She is also able to clearly stream her Zoom meetings, which lets her feel more comfortable and herself vs. the living or dining areas. It picked up both our standard and 5G signals and amplifies them both. We definitely give this a 6 thumbs up- 2 from each of us! Very satisfied!

Difficult to set up

It took me a long time and a variety of ways to get this wifi range extender set up. I ultimately had to do it through my pc. Once set up, it seems to be doing what I hoped it would in that it improved the response of my Ring doorbell and extended wifi farther into my yard.

Saved my sanity

My son is a gamer and I was desperate to have him play the games in the basement so the rest of the family did not have to put up with his enthusiastic gaming! Unfortunately he kept losing the signal in the basement until I installed the range extender which worked like a dream meaning peace and tranquillity for the rest of the house.

Despite it being rated at 450 mbps speeds, this extender does the job well at around 100 mbps speeds giving me a great gaming and working experience all around!
