Never expected too many issues with GE appliance

I worked at GE and always have had a great admiration for quality of work. That is why I bought a GE washer and a dryer. However, after installation we started the first wash and the water was filling in for so long and never started the wash, odd, water was draining. I used the spin, and restarted the wash it worked. Then, the next day the same thing happened. Again, I went through the spin function and started again and it worked. It does not look right to me. Also gurgling or agitation is rather noisier than any other models that I had. technician said it is normal. But can't GE make appliances that are like others with a quiet wash?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stackable Washer Dryer

I do not like the fact that the Cycle Knob does not move as the cycle progresses, so I cannot tell which part of the wash cycle the machine is in. Adding further confusion, the agitator pauses throughout the wash cycle, which continually makes me think someone accidentally pressed the pause button. If I had watched this machine in action prior to purchasing it, I would not have bought it. Concerned that after only one month of use, the lid latch malfunctioned which locked out the controls and prevented the washer from running any cycle at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
