Good range, like the features

Bought this range, only had it a few days but like the features this range has. Wish that it came with catch pans even thought it has sealed burners. This is why I gave it a good rating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE Ranges Are Great
on October 13, 2013

Purchased this one last. The oven light does not come on when opening the oven door which i miss from my older model. The new grates are so slick that i can not keep my pans on at this time and this would be my biggest complaint. Needs to be more cooking friendly rather that pretty friendly. My older GE also had drip pans which i miss as it was so much easier to throw those in the sink that to scrub the stove top like i do now. Overall I don't like as much as my older GE but still like better than the models i comparatively priced while shopping for a new one.

Awesome Stove!!

I had this stove installed many years ago and the only thing that went bad was the igniter, that's it. For that to be the only issue ever encountered, I would say this stove is well worth it. Everything else works perfectly since the installation date.

Stove top gets too hot-
on December 4, 2022

Hot air blows from the vent on top of the oven onto the stovetop. Im not sure if this is normal? Also the temperature in the oven doesn’t correspond to the temperature on baking recipes and burns cakes, muffins,….
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello – thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about your GE free-standing gas range. Our apologies that you’ve been having some issues with burnt cakes and muffins and understand how disappointing that is. That is certainly not the ownership experience we want for our consumers, and we’d like to help! We can confirm that the hot air that blows from the vent on top of the oven is normal. Check out this article that goes into more detail here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16880&_ga=2.103244160.1282816242.1670339913-508599395.1669214566&_gac=1.245689648.1669477791.EAIaIQobChMIytq6nJjM-wIVdYlbCh2EygDYEAQYAyABEgKiffD_BwE We’d also like to let you know that the oven temperature can be adjusted in 1° increments up to 35° hotter or 35° cooler. Just follow the instructions on page 22 of your manual, linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-85205-1.pdf&_ga=2.158688570.1282816242.1670339913-508599395.1669214566&_gac=1.238208692.1669477791.EAIaIQobChMIytq6nJjM-wIVdYlbCh2EygDYEAQYAyABEgKiffD_BwE We hope you find this information insightful and that it helps baking those perfectly tasty cakes a little bit easier for you. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you have any more questions or concerns. Warm regards. Lauren@GEA
