good for baking and cooking!

I bought this stove before Thanksgiving 2011 already had to have GE replace 2 of the gray grates. poor quality they blister and paint burns off. I am only recommending buying because of its baking and cooking features!
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this stove cooks so evenly. The broiler is great too. The gray grates do take on the burned look if things are spilled over very quickly and it is difficult to clean that off. Otherwise, I love how it looks and works. No issues so far!

This stove is value at a reasonable price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this stove after doing several weeks of research on stoves and going out to see what they looked and felt like. What sold me on this stove was that it was a basic stove but built solidly. The grates are solid and have a decent heft to them, they can hold any pot size or weight. The knobs are all firmly attached and the push buttons on the oven controls are responsive and easy to understand. This door to the oven opens and closes without effort. The stove is also easy to clean and wipe down. I have had this stove now for over 6 months and have had no regrets. I do like to cook and this stove has meet every demand that I have given it. If had I the option of going back in time I would get this stove again. While this stove is basic its also all you really need.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did some looking around as my 20+ years range was dying fast. I like this one for the price and value. I use cast Iron to cook with and very careful on the burner grates, but one of the crates chipped, called GE and they sent out a new one asap. I was impressed with the service. I also bake cakes and love how fast the oven pre-heats and how even it bakes. I would get one again!!

Unhappy with burner grates

Nice Range with nice features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like the way the burners light and that they are sealed so food doesn't fall through them. The controls are easy to use, just push the appropriate button. Good oven light. Oven heats up in a short time and beeps when it reaches set temperature. Broiler is at top of oven.
Stove is easy to clean, I haven't used the self-cleaning feature yet so can't comment on that.
The only negative is the storage drawer at the bottom is kind of flimsy and flexes too much. You can't put anything too heavy in the drawer. It doesn't have a handle so you have to feel under the "lip" to pull it open.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the way Ge Gas Range cooks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have always owned a GE gas stove. I Love the way things cook with this stove. I do feel that the quality has gone down since the one we replaced from 20 years ago. No real handle on the bottom drawer and the racks inside the oven wobble more. I still Love GE brand gas stoves we will stick to brand loyalty when it comes to buying a gas range.
