Beautiful appearance, but doesn't dry the dishes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher itself is very beautiful, the location of the buttons allows for a sleek appearance. The dishwasher has done a good job cleaning our dishes (although I always pre-rinse dishes before). However, it doesn't seem to dry the dishes very well. I typically have to hand dry many of the items, especially on the top rack. I've also found that I can't put some of my plastic utensils/plastic handled knives in the dishwasher as it seems to take off the coating (even on the normal cycle). Dishwasher does operate quietly. And as per previous ratings - it does leave a residue around the bottom portion of the gasket after cycles, so this has to be cleaned off frequently.

Clean, modern look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chose this model for it's clean, modern look. I specifically wanted the hidden controls that enhances the clean look. Also important is the quietness of operation. It is very quiet, hardly noticeable when running. Bonus in a large open family room/kitchen area. Do not have to turn up volume on TV to be heard over dishwasher. Performance in getting dishes clean is what I expect and have received from previous GE dishwashers. Not disappointments with this model.

Attractive and Extremely Quiet Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is very attractive and extremely quiet when operating. I do have to leave the dishwasher open to complete drying the dishes before putting them away, but this is due to water still standing in curved areas of glasses, mugs and containers. I have found the front of the dishwasher to be difficult to keep shiny and streak-free. I need to find a good product to do this. My previous stainless steel appliances were easy to clean with a swipe of a paper towel with Windex. This does not work on these stainless steel GE Profile appliances.

Very quiet

No complaints however one small caveat: Be aware that the counter overhang may obscure the hidden controls. I did a complete kitchen gut/remodel and the quartz countertop was installed after the appliances. The counter overhang, which was standard measure, made it impossible to press the operating buttons on the dishwasher. My contractor was able to adjust the washer out enough to clear the counter without looking odd.

Have had this dishwasher for 3 months now and we are very happy with it. Everything comes out spotless. It is a very quiet dishwasher....in fact, my wife and I both find the sound during the wash cycle soothing. Great styling, and the hidden buttons are a plus. The number of buttons to select is just right...it is very easy to set it and start each cycle.
