Doesn't clean, constantly breaking glasses
on April 9, 2013

Dishes loaded into this dishwasher must be thoroughly rinsed prior if there is any hope of them coming out clean.
The design of the upper rack of this dishwasher is unusual. The outside edges of the rack have an extra ridge. This ridge has a break in the middle and at the front and the back of the rack. We have gone through nearly an entire set of glasses as this ridge "catches" the rim of the glasses when the rack is slid in or out. Cannot figure out why a rack for glasses would be designed so poorly.
This product was part of a kitchen remodel - I would not buy GE Profile again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It also takes awhile to dry completely! Seems to not dry dishes all the way.

Problems with this dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does not clean the dishes very well. I have used the jet dry and the best detergents on the market to try and get the film off my glasses and plates. A GE repair man came to my house about 3 months after I bought it and said there was nothing wrong with it. he sent us a new lower spray arm. We put it in and it did not help at all. I want my old GE dishwasher back.. It looks good but the performance is very poor..

This product is terrible

This is the worse dishwasher I have ever had. My last GE dIshwaster I had for 11 years and only repaired once. The repairman told us they had a recall on my model and cost me for the service call. I have to wash my dishes before I load them in the dishwasher. Thank goodness I don't have a large family to have to use it everyday. I would not recommend this model for anyone. I should have listened to my husband and got the model he wanted.

Must pre wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to wash my dishes before I load them in the dishwasher and run the dishwashwer on the sterile cycle to ensure the dishes still come out clean - all other cycles don't get the dishes clean.

Looks nice but needs help

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Appearance is very nice, but this dishwasher has a hard time getting off any anything that's had time to dry. This is hard when you're just two people who don't use an exorbitant amount of dishes/glasses.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very quiet and dries dishes well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time using it we thought it was not working because it was so quiet. We usually do a quick rinse by hand and run unit every 2-3 days, so food residue is never a problem. Only complaint is that there is always a residual detergent deposit at the front bottom of the unit where the rubber door gasket meets the bottom. We need to clean that grit off after every use. We tried using less detergent and it was still a problem. Overall a good dishwasher.

NICE LOOKING, QUIET D/W

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THE D/W HAS BEEN IN FOR 2 WEEKS NOW. IT DOES A GOOD JOB OF CLEANING THE DISHES AND IT IS VERY QUIET. SOME OF OUR WINE GLASSES HAVE A LITTLE RESIDUE AND SOME OF THE PLASTIC DISHES DON'T DRY COMPLETELY. HOWEVER, I THINK BOTH ISSUES ARE COMMON WITH MOST, IF NOT ALL D/W'S.
I would recommend this to a friend!
