The HP x2301 monitor is about as good as a monitor can be. Featuring HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs, it plugs and plays with any compyter. Setup on my Windows 7 laptop with HDMI was instant, the performance superb. Colors are fully saturated, contrast and brightness perfect. All in a lightweight and attractive case. It is the best monitor I have seen in years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best monitor ever

Where do I begin. With aging eyes I often have difficultty picking out detail in graphs, photos and text. I needed a larger screen that was sharp. I have owned several monitors over the years but nothing has ever been this perfect.

hard to read

upgraded my dell monitor, the color is great the only real problem i have with it is its very hard to read script. letters are not very clear or sharp . sometimes you just cant make ot the letters because of the fuzzyness like there out of focus and thats with my glasses on..

I was disappointed that this monitor did not include internal speakers and from the information I did not know that. The information on this product should be updated.

The first unit out of the box didn't fire up to full viewing strength, staying in a low power, low brightness, hard to see screen. Talked to service, who were very helpful in isolating the problem with the monitor and not the new computer. HP sent me a second monitor which seems to be working okay, must observe a little longer to determine the quality aspect.
Based on the performance of the first unit, quality of unit must be questioned.
At present, I don't know if I could recommend this monitor, will know better after a few weeks use.

The monitor looked great and worked fine for about 3 days. Although the features were great what good are they if the monitor does not work.

Dvi port broke after one week

It worked for one week, then refused to recognize the cable plugged into the Dvi port. I tried multiple cables, the one that came in the box, two other cables that worked find with other monitors, no luck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
