Pullout drawers are flimsy. Ice maker noisy. Ice maker takes up a large portion of the freezer compartment. Not enough space. Refrigerator compartment shelving poorly arranged.

My KitchenAid refridgerator is great. It is the 3rd kitchenAid. My other ones were also great increased the value of our homes when leaving them for new buyers. My side by side counter depth Pro Line series is wonderful. I love the LED lighting, the storage space holds as much as my old regular depth model. The in door shelves are easy to remove for cleaning to to hold condiments on the table. The freezer has plenty of room to hold and organize our frozen foods. I couldn't be happier with my new KitchenAid Pro Line.
Pros: Innovative, Convenient Features, BEAUTIFUL, easy to use, Performance, Design

Continual Icemaker Problems
on December 8, 2016

This two-year old refrigerator has had a continual series of icemaker problems, the most significant being water occasionally not freezing in the ice maker, being dumped into the bin, and then running out the dispensing chute. Our first experience with a KitchenAid unit, and we are disappointed.

Not the Kitchen Aid we expected

Purchased this model about one year ago. We also had a Kitchen Aid 25 cu. ft. counter depth previously. The older model was superior to this model in as the present ice maker is very noisy dropping ice one cube at a time. The volume of noise dropping ice will wake you from a deep sleep. The ice bin is less than half the size of the older in door bin model. Makes ice very slowly even when the freezer temperature is at minus 3 degrees. We also had drawers hard to slide but solved that by removing them and spraying silicone spray on each slide area. We have ice crystals on all freezer food when the temp. is set to "0". The refrigerator side will have moisture throughout at 35 degrees. Also noticed a lack of a shelf in both sides. Presently have a high temperature problem in both sides. Both running about 18 degrees above set temp. Vacuumed as good as I can as it is very hard to access the underside to no avail. Probably the best feature here is the LED lighting and the exterior appearance. Possibly since Whirlpool purchased Maytag they do not have time to properly design new items for this line. Just go back the way it was before and discontinue the new style ice bin. At this point there will be no more Kitchen Aid products in our home.

Bought 5 months ago, brightly lit interior, quiet except for occasional ice making, easy to remove and clean shelves. Shelf bracket design maximizes storage underneath, and design is clean and uncluttered. We love opening the door and watching it light up!

I have owned this refrigerator since April 2015. Overall it's a really excellent unit - quiet, and quite a bit of capacity for a "counter-depth" model. I love the water metering feature - displays how much water is dispensed, or automatically dispensed. Also, I love side-by-sides - no better design for freezer access and utility! However some definite negatives: 1) The exterior is VERY difficult to clean. It's a deeply grained stainless steel that looks great but easily gets streaky if you don't clean it in JUST the right way. My tip: hot water and lots of terry towel buffing rags. My Maytag dishwasher of the same age and stainless steel finish is much easier to clean. I think the grain is much deeper on the Refrigerator, giving it a better overall look, but making it harder to clean properly. 2) A bit of an internal electrical issue. Sometimes a few of the LED light bulbs inside don't light up when the door is opened unless you tap on them, there must be a loose connection at the bulb - tapping one usually fixes the rest of the series chain. 3) One of the wheels is a bit squeaky and you hear it when you open the door or are cleaning the surface. A bit annoying, but probably easily fixable with a little WD-40.
