Refrig Nice But Has Issues

Less than 3 years old. Freezer ok, refrigerator section at 50 plus degrees.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the design and features

My wife and I are very pleased with the overall capacity of the product. The drawers are so spacious. When we were looking for a new product the ice maker in the door was a great plus. We can easily remove when we need large amounts of ice. We also like the electronic adjustments we can make to the panel on the freezer door. When our other GE products expire we will replace with other Kitchenaid products.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst refrigerator we have ever purchased

In our opinion this refrigerator is cheaply constructed, especially for the price. Our icemaker has stopped making ice four times in two years. The hinges on the bottom of the door (plastic) have broken and the door will not close on its own. The silver metallic material on the inside comes off ( this is on the drawers and shelves) The drawers do not open all the way to get out your vegetables, meats, etc and even the fronts of these drawers have come off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love our new refrigerator!

Our old refrigerator had a recurring issue that was costing us over $100 each repair. We finally were fed up enough that I started looking online at new ones. Rather than buy one blindly we decided to stop in a local store that we knew would allow us to look at all brands. We found our Kitchenaid and that was it. Love the storage drawers, outside finish, and water and ice dispenser. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is we ran out of ice over the holidays when we had a house full. I've adjusted the settings so will have to see how it fares the next time we have a house full.
