We've owned this for a few months and, so far, it's fine. I like that the ice maker is not too noisy. Also, there's more than ample space in both the refrigerator and freezer. And the fingerprint-free finish is a real winner.

My KitchenAid Counter Depth Refrigerator is this best gift I could of bought for myself.My new refrigerator has so much room inside, keeps the food very cold. I highly recommend this this refrigerator because it is counter depth, the features on it are awesome & I have so much more space verses my Kenmore Elite it was always breaking down. Thank you kitchenaid. I also bought the matching microwave & conventional range stove, I give all the items I purchased a
5 STAR. To top everything off for buying all 3 products KitchenAid offered a rebate of $300.00.
Pros: Design, Performance, easy to use, Convenient Features, counter top depth is a plus!

The ice maker is terrible!!!!!!

I have all kitchen aid appliances and they were installed in 2013. To date I have had to have the servicemen out a number of times to service the range (the main board was faulty and had to be totally replaced the first year and I am someone who only uses the oven to heat up tots!!), microwave (it was not turning off after we would open the door and it would not always turn on when we pressed start - we had to play with it - that also happened in the first year) and worst of all the refridgerator (the ice maker does NOT work). A total of 3 service calls on the refridge(all for the ice maker). We entertain a lot and the ice maker is terrible. Once emptied it takes a good week to fill back up and it never completely fills up because of a laser beam that informs the freezer it is full when it is not. Todays visit confirmed that there is nothing we can do about it becuase between the laser and the ice not leveling correctly when it freezes the ice machine will not work correctly. We asked if there was a way that we could go in and adjust things manually and the serviceman told us we would have to take the unit apart to do that!!! I have been very disappointed with the kitchenaid series we bought and will never again purchase or recommend kitchen aid. If you are buying this fridge and need an ice maker research another one because you will not be happy! If the ice maker is not important order away!!!!!

It Leaks!

We purchased this refrigerator for a kitchen remodel. We had a Kitchenaid wine refrigerator with no issues and wanted a counter-depth model that would match. The sales person talked us into the value of having the ice maker in the door for more room in the freezer. First off, the size is small. The drawer are difficult to open and access. Then after only three months, we saw water coming from below. Called the 800 number and had a technician come out right away. He couldn't see anything wrong but said there can be air bubbles that can cause temporary leaks. No issues for four months then the leak was back. Then the ice maker dispenser started leaking. Ice maker was replaced. Everything was fine for one week, then the leak returned. I think we have a lemon!

I'm so disappointed in the whole Kitchen Aid experience. I purchased a range, this refrigerator, and a oven hood and all three have had major issues.
The first fridge came from the show room with a defective compressor and essentially DOA. It took almost a week for the selling company to replace it with another one. Meanwhile an entire refrigerator contents went bad. Once the new one arrived, it took about 12 months for it to have an issue where water was leaking from the unit onto my floors (which were ruined) and after battling KA on the phone, they agreed to come out and fix. The culprit was some debris in the water line that was causing it to overflow somewhere. The technician was trying to pin the blame on me but how could I get something into the water line or drain which is sealed? I had to replace about 20 sq/ft of flooring from the leak at my expense.
This morning, I was getting something out of the fridge and noticed that my floor was wet and quickly discovered that there is water pouring out of the freezer door. I pulled the fridge away from the wall and discovered that the floor is wet and ruined again. I called a tech to see if they can help me out but I can't believe that a 2 year old refrigerator needs this much attention and has caused this much damage in my home.
Not what I expect from a premium product.
