We purchased this Kitchenaid side by side refrigerator a little over 4 years ago. We have had the sealed refrigerator system replaced TWICE and it needs it again. We bought an extended warranty when the first non cooling incident happened. Then a year later it happened again. Same problem. Cheap parts. Each time takes about a month to get fixed. We decided to buy the warranty for another year and in only six months from the last repair it is doing exactly the same thing. Repair technician to come in a few days. The frig side is approximately 45 degrees and the freezer is around 21 degrees. The only way we aren't losing lots of perishables is to put them in the freezer. This is the worst purchase we have ever made.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great counter depth size

I bought this 4 months ago and it's alright but not nearly as quality of a fridge as I thought it would be. The water that comes out of the dispenser is never very cold, and the shelves are not very adjustable which really limits how you store items in the space, but for a counter depth size it looks nice and works pretty well and has a decent amount of space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Refrigerator is 1 month old, door hinge closer is super cheep creaks and snaps when opening door and sheds plastic dust if you let go the handle will hit counter, door stop thin metal flexes and allows door to go 180 deg and hits granite counter need to pull out fridge to keep handles clear making it not counter depth ? Basically it's poorly designed and built super cheaply ,my 10 year old kitchen aid now in basement is far superior
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Counter Depth Refrigerator

We bought this as a Christmas gift to ourselves. Looks good, works well. We have a smaller kitchen, so the counter depth is great. I had to raise the height of the cabinets over the refrigerator, however. Ugh
The motor is a bit loud. So, too, is the ice maker. The doors do not fully close after using what I consider a regular push (as opposed to a slam). We have to make sure the doors are closed before leaving the kitchen. Finally, I think that the product design should be improved to include more interior shelving adjustments

Refrigerator delivered with a broken bottom hinge , service call to get that repaired. Three weeks later ice maker stopped making ice , service call for that. Had to replace part.

We have had this fridge for about 3 months now and have never had a problem with it. There were a number of features that weren't outlined on the website or by our sales associate that we have really enjoyed like the auto fill option that lets you set the desired amount of water and then the fridge lets you know when your desired amount has been reached. The only complain is that the freezer seems like it should come with one more shelf and the water from the dispenser isn't as cold as we would like. Small price to pay for such a great fridge though!
Pros: Innovative, Performance, Design, Convenient Features, easy to use
Cons: water doesn't dispense super cold, not enough freezer shelves standard

A great use of the LED. Seven in the refrigerator includes illuminated vegtable crisper, three in the freezer with the ice bin graced with a glow, even the water/ice dispenser paddles have LED backlighting! It reminds me of my fathers 1960's Olds when the 60's were the zenith of American industrial design

Purchased right before Christmas 2014 and the delivery men very conscientious. Unit fit's perfectly into the built-in area. My only disappoint with this refrigerator is that the ice machine is quite loud, whether it be the water running to make the ice or when the ice drops into the door container. I hope you will correct this 'flaw' in newer models.
