we had an old single door top freezer so compared to that I am very happy with this. there are a few reviews mentioning problems that I agree. 1) ice maker can be a little messy when dispenses ice 2) the water on door initially comes out just cool, not cold - which we prefer but could be a problem for others 2) not enough door storage shelves so we are forced to store bottles of dressings, sauces etc, on the already limited shelves 3) the interior drawers do not pull out all the way. your forced to squeeze stuff in it's a little tight.
the pros: I can see what we have in there and keep it clean. yay!

Great fridge

We bought this fridge to match the rest of our appliances and have had to for three months. It's great and fits out family needs. Looks good and it's easy to clean.

Not built like before, quality needs improvement. For example; trim fit around the door is poor and the door alignment is poor. One would also think the drink dispenser would provide cool (chilled) water.
We thought we bought the top of the line, guess not...

The Ice Machine is SO NOISY!

I purchased this KitchenAid refrigerator for my new home. We looked for a long time and thought we found the perfect model. Well, we are a little disappointed. The ice machine is mounted in the freezer door so when ice drops into the ice container is sounds like something fell on the floor in the kitchen. It took a long to get used to the fact that nothing was dropping on the floor, rather it was ice dropping into the ice bucket.
I don't like that most of the shelves in the refrigerator are not adjustable. Does not make for efficient storage.
I know what to look for the next time I'm shopping or a new fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought a condo that had this brand new KitchenAid fridge included. It is so quiet, spacious and all around beautiful!! So sleek and nice looking.

I like this fridge it is the 2nd kitchenaid we've owned. The water/ice dispenser is great. Typical to side by side the freezer doesn't fit a frozen pizza.

Bought 5 months ago, brightly lit interior, quiet except for occasional ice making, easy to remove and clean shelves. Shelf bracket design maximizes storage underneath, and design is clean and uncluttered. We love opening the door and watching it light up!
