As we were building a new house on MD's Eastern Shore on the Chester River what we had selected including the land was at the top of our financial plans; thus, we had to limit our kitchen appliances chosen. As there are so many choices on the market including at our upper middle class level so to speak, I (am the cook) chose to stay the maker of the two KA mixers that I have had over the years including our current one for professionals and thus all KA appliances were chosen including the induction range - 36' although I would have preferred a 40" model and regretted that KA did not make a model that Thermador makes that allows a pot to be placed any where on the range top; but this was too expensive and I just love cooking with the induction range primarily for its speed in boiling water for pasta or steaming, etc. We have the KA dishwasher, combination MW (steam/convection) and the convection oven both of which perform excellently; and the exhaust fan over the induction range. Now, for the refrigerator: would have loved a larger model but the options for the counter top models were limited and we went with what best fit our new kitchen. This has worked flawlessly and while we lost space in the freezer door due to our having the water and ice dispensers, only my wife and I live here and generally go to the Annapolis Whole Foods Store where we stock up on fresh fish and meats which we freeze and use but one shelve in storing this as well as breads also frozen. The KA frig is well lighted with LED lights, the shelves are easy to slide in and out and were glass vs. plastic that even some of the higher end units had. Overall, we could not be happier with our KA as identified above. Easy to clean, cook with, and above all attractive as they are stainless steel and very well made. The kitchen and our house - our home are a reflection of my wife and I and the comfortable quiet life we have prepared for in our retirement years and thus chose KA appliances to be a part of our home. Thank you, David
I have bought Kitchenaid appliances for years. This time I have had to have service twice. First my fridge was leaking on my hardwood floors and needed a hose replaced to my icemaker and 2nd my glass cooktop exploded. I am still under warranty but now keep wondering what will happen when it expires.
Bought this to make an emergency replacement for my 2008 Frigidaire that suddenly went belly up on a long weekend. Made an excellent choice....plenty spacious - love the ice maker in the door - leaving addtl shelf space in the freezer.
I bought a stainless steel dishwasher, double convection oven, side-by-side refrigerator, microwave and cooktop. I've had them about 2 months. They are high quality stainless steel and their function is fabulous. Easy to clean, shine up pretty and are very attractive in my kitchen. I recommend them to everyone. The dishwasher is so quiet that I can't tell if it is running. (I would have added a photo but the Add Photo feature doesn't work)
I would not buy this again, the model does not come with enough door bins and to purchase additional bins, it is $125/bin when you include the frame and bin. The drawers do not open enough to put a head of lettuce in and the shelves that come with it are not sufficient to put stuff on the shelves with out stacking (you can not add shelves due to the way it is made). We are very unhappy with this purchase and when we have guests they have comment on how bad this refrigerator is. The ice make does not make enough ice to support 2 people in the house in the summer.

Great on the outside, disappointing on the inside.

Bought this model to replace a similar one, this one is slightly taller and has more inside space. The problem is the space is unusable with the amount of shelves and bins provided. I am using cardboard boxes, plastic tubs and double deck plate holders to accommodate what I had in the last fridge, and I still had to throw away some things. The cost for 2 glass freezer shelves, 1 glass refrigerator shelf, and one refrigerator door bin (the smaller one) will cost over $300 (at an aftermarket vendor) without tax or shipping! This certainly raises the price, so take a good look before buying. There is also no way to know the temperature inside either compartment. All you can do is set the temp you want, then use a thermometer to check to see if it is working correctly. So far the temp seems to be 4 degrees off. With all the overkill on the control panel, seems like a silly thing to leave out.

Drawer space is very limited for storing meat, vegetables and cheese. Ice maker spits ice out onto floor. Water dispensed is not cold.

I was very happy with the previous model and decided to upgrade to the latest. That was a mistake!
1. Water dispenser does not deliver cold water 2. I align the doors, and after a few days they get mis-aligned again 3. Ice maker pushed Ice into to the inside of the fridge and pushed the ice-make component out of place! 4. Drawer broke with normal usage, no abnormal physical force was applies.
