A bit noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like to configuration and storage options on this side-by-side. However, if we had it to do over again we would have upgraded to a different model. This unit is noisy when the water is activated for the icemaker, and when the ice is finished it falls in a fashion that will wake the neighbors. The unit is stylish and the front panel provides all the necessary features to make it a functional unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Never Again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually have the counter depth model of this fridge. I've owned it for 18 months. At one year, the ice maker failed. When it was replaced, the technician also discovered that the reason my vegetable bins didn't close properly was because the foam insulation was installed improperly at the factory. That took another two trips to fix. Then, the ice maker failed again and fixing it included adding pads below the freezer door switches to be sure they were working correctly - again a factory defect. Then, the ice make auger motor failed and it had to be replaced. Last week the ices maker started to make water for new ice but never stopped. Now, I am waiting for them to replace the ice maker switches because they will not decare my machine a lemon. I expected more from KitchenAid.
