I will just make this a nice easy list on why not to buy the fridge.
Loud (the other reviewers are right) - at times this thing is very loud.
Water - warm and very slow, very very slow. (I have great water pressure in my house)

Ice - It makes enough ice for my family however I literally jumped out of bed the first time I heard the ice fall into the bucket. Once it gets more full it is not as loud but if you use ice then it gets louder.
If you use the ice then immediately use the measured fill feature on the water dispenser, the light will never go off on the dispenser. (you have to cycle through the light setting 3 times to get it to go off) Seems like a software bug. You will be using the measured fill feature because of how slow the water comes out.
You cant change the default setting on the measured fill feature. 8 OZ of water is the default so you have to press the button to increase it (which is not so responsive to pressing it multiple times)
Don't place anything on the front of the fridge. Yes it is magnetic however it WILL rust behind the magnets.
Condensation builds up on the left wall of the refrigerator side. Maybe not isolated correctly from the freezer?
Otherwise, fridge looks good and keeps my food cold. Nothing else really good to say about it.
Pros: Innovative, Convenient Features
Cons: Loud Motor, Loud ice, slow water, Buggy software, warm water
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a very nice refrigerator, has a great water and ice dispenser that is easy to use. I've had some issues with ice being stuck in the ice maker and it's a little tricky to get it removed. Also, in the main refrigerator area, one of the shelves doesn't have much clearance, so it's hard to find use for it. Other than that it's a really nice refrigerator.

This unit was purchased 19 months ago along with other Kitchenaid units (Stove , microwave, stand mixer) during our Kitchen make over. Until the week before thanksgiving when the unit stopped cooling every thing. Both condenser coils had to be replaced. Now the unit is noisy every time it cools for as long as the compressor runs.

The water/ice maker might be my favorite feature. I know that sounds silly, but it c ounces going into my glass and makes the perfect size of ice. The air filtration system really works. I can keep produce much much longer than I used to be able to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s been installed and running for three weeks so far. No issues yet, it slid right into place and was super easy to hook up. Once the ice maker filled up it became quiet. The first few ice drops were loud.
