I bought this frig one year ago, love the frig we did however have water leaking from the front tube twice. Service was very good and fast, the technicians were reliable and helpful. Love the two door, freezer very spacious, my second kitchenaid frig. Same style.Jay

Needs better design

This refrigerator came highly recommended, but I have 2 complaints. One is that you can't open the refrigerator door while you are getting ice or water, so while you are filling a cup with ice, you can't open the door to get juice, soda, etc until you are done. I've never seen a refrigerator that the design inhibits that. The second complaint is that the water is not very cold. I have it on the coldest temperature but it is only mildly cool. My previous refrigerator dispensed much cooler water.

This is my third KitchenAid refrigerator and my favorite. I really love the way it looks inside and out. One of my favorite features is the metal edge on the interior shelves. This really gives a elegant touch. Although there were many reviews disappointed with the ice maker, I find it satisfactory. I rated the features "good" instead of "excellent" because the ice maker is smaller than any of the others I've had. Also, I did have a repairman out the first week when it stopped working, but it turned out it was just a stuck ice cube in the wrong place. I haven't had any issues since. Basically, I am a very happy customer.
Pros: Convenient Features, Innovative, easy to use, metal edging is unique, Performance, Design
Cons: small ice maker

Only 3 months old. Since first week, have had to throw away 4 dozen eggs, cottage cheese and lettuce for freezing.
Ice production is abysmal. I'm the only one in the family who gets one cup of ice a day to make my ice coffee......
Ice maker has been replaced twice, damper-motor also replaced, so now it doesn't constantly sound like there's a helicopter approaching
Water from dispenser is never cold.
Have been requesting replacement to no avail to date.

Disappointed in the indoor water dispensor. Water initially comes out warm, and takes 4 to 5 ounces before cold water comes out. This replaced a kitchenaid superba (we wanted all stainless steel appliances) and that refigerator had cold water instantly.
Cons: water not cold from indoor water dispens

Very very nice and very big.....smaller by CU FT than my previous one which was 27.5 but appears to have more room due to layout. I wish that the door bins were more interchangeable....I'd like to have one of the more shallow ones on top and they don't work that way.

We are an extended family of 10, mostly teenagers. We've had our new Kitchenaid refrigerator for 2 months now and are very pleased! We especially like the stainless steel look and easy to clean surfaces. With so many teens in and out of it there are plenty of fingerprints daily and they just wipe right off. I REALLY like that all the shelf supports and door shelves are also stainless steel and not plastic; sometimes the kids are not gentle so I'm glad everything inside the frig is so durable! And there's plenty of room inside to handle all the perishables for this big family. Thanks, Kitchenaid, for something so beautiful AND practical!

We've had our Maytag fridge for over 20 years and while we could have given it a bit more life, we decided to go the stainless steel route. The features on this fridge including the ability to set a fill level are very nice to have. The fridge has a lot of space in both compartments (compared to our Maytag) and while it makes some interesting "robotic noises" when opening and closing the fridge, we really are enjoying it. We are trusting in the Kitchenaid brand and the quality. Overal really like the look and features of this fridge - and space.
