I bought this product to match my other kitchen appliances, all Kitchen Aid. So the only thing I'm not happy with is the small size of the ice cubes. I'm still having some difficulty learning how to use the control panel.

Water flow for drinking is too slow for more than a small glass. Ice maker hardly keeps up. Neigher door will close automatically and can be a problem, door alarm does not pick this condition up. Water filter......$80 a year, for two cartridges!

Three units have been replaced in 1 year ( 2 within 4 weeks). They all have same common problem - condensation build up on wall towards refrigeration section that separates freezer side.
Pros: easy to use, Design, Convenient Features

The FRONT of this refrigerator looks nice and sleek, however, that is about the only positive statement that I have besides it does work, so far. When we ordered this refrigerator it was next to another at the store so I did not see the grey plastic sides. I thought I ordered a stainless steel refrigerator and it would be stainless on 3 sides. This refrigerator does NOT have adjustable shelves. Who would have thought a refrigerator does not have adjustable shelves? I have never had one that the shelves were not adjustable. That makes it less roomy because of the way the shelves are set. This was not a cheap refrigerator either. When I mention this to people they are surprised that this refrigerator does not have adjustable shelves. We did not want the icemaker but we wanted our appliances to match and KitchenAid did not make a refrigerator/freezer in that size without an icemaker
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor quality Refrigerator barely made it out of warranty

I bought this refrigerator 1.5 yrs ago.(safely out of warranty for KitchenAid) It completely failed and I have to replace. This is the first KitchenAid-Whirlpool refrigerator I have ever purchased. All other refrigerators I have owned lasted at least 10-11 years. Most longer. After reading other reviews, there seems to be a consistent quality issue with this product.
Lost cooling in the freezer. Ice in Ice maker melted and leaked all over hardwood floor.

We had purchased a new Kitchenaid refrig as it was touted as "top of the line". It produced so much water that I had to wipe it off daily. After 4 repair calls it was determined that it could not be fixed and we got this unit as a replacement. It is such an improvement!
Pros: the lighting is great, love the butter keeper
Cons: the icemaker is very noisy, you can not open the refri door and get ice, the shelves are not adjustable
