However, we had this refrigerator in our home for one week and the ice maker stopped working. A repairman is scheduled to arrive later this week.

A nice looking step backwards

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this behemoth for about 6 months now. It looks nice inside and out. The interior lighting is very nice. Otherwise it is a poor reflection of the 15 year old fridge it replaced. Water in door is not cold. Indoor ice maker is noisy, ice dispenser is sloppy and spews ice chips. We could never figure out how to install the "freshflow" air filter. I promise that none of the instructions matched what I held in my hand. It was a puzzle with no solution. The whole door display is silly, a lot of geegaws that do nothing of value. The best I can say is that keeps cold, but any new fridge should do that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator two days ago. It is beautiful and does everything a refrigerator should do but we have had some early problems. First, the shelving is very hard to install and will only go in in a limited number of ways because the door can not be closed due to conflicts between the shelves in the refrigerator and those in the door. Evenso, we finally managed and the result is quite good. However, there is one problem that we have not been able to adjust to our satisfaction. The refrigerator is very noisy. Noisy to the extent my wife does not like to go into the kitchen; therefore, I have to do the cooking! I am really not very good at it.
(The dishwasher, range and microwave, all Kitchen Aids, are delightful so far. The dishwasher is the quietest we have ever had.)
PS. I would not recommend this refrigerator to a friend nor any other refrigerator because I do not know enough about them.
