[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the refrigerator back in the middle of September this year. We love the digital features, the lighting, and the simple but attractive look. However, we only recently in the last few weeks noticed that the refrigerator door and the freezer door do not quite line up. The refrigerator door sticks out from the freezer door about a half inch at the top but is even with it at the bottom. Also, we noticed that the refrigerator door does not close itself when given a slight push like our old refrigerator did. You guys kindly arranged for an appliance serviceman to look at the door for us and he was able to improve things a bit. With that said we like the refrigerator but are somewhat disappointed that the door issue was not able to be completely resolved.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this refrigerator for almost 2 months. Very impressed with the quality and the fit and finish. It has worked flawlessly so far. The ice maker makes ice very quickly and has not jammed at all. Some reviews say this frig is noisy and yes, because the ice is in the door, (which makes more shelf space in the freezer), you can hear the cubes fall into the ice bin but it isn't much louder than our old frig. The noises comming from the compressor and fans running are at least normal if not quieter than most other refrigerators I have heard. The inside is very nice, excellent lighting and pretty much space for a counter depth. Overall very happy with this purchase and would recommend this unit to anyone considering a counter depth refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator Oct, 2013; already have had 2 service calls on the ice maker/water unit; replaced the filter unit and trim kit on the bottom, but repairman said trim kit on bottom will need to be replaced in the future as he didn't think it would hold.
The ice maker never made ice from the first week; than the water stopped working; repairman suggested turning off the unit to give the internal wiring and parts time to warm up because he thought they were frozen because the temperature was too cold.
A third service appt is scheduled for next week with a different technician; I'll update. Sorry I didn't read the reviews first, I only relied on KitchenAid's past reputation and prior experience--everything changes.

Substandard Stainless

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the interior of this appliance is large and well-laid out, the quality of the stainless steel exterior is dreadful. We miss the quality of the stainless on our Amana refrig. Disappointing. Fingerprints and streaks are ever-present. Stainless cleaner barely works. Also, this was the 2nd version of this unit we received. The first refrigerator had "pinched" corners and a crooked badge on the front. A "Friday" special? Quality control needs improvement!!!!
