Think and research Before You buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator Oct, 2013; already have had 2 service calls on the ice maker/water unit; replaced the filter unit and trim kit on the bottom, but repairman said trim kit on bottom will need to be replaced in the future as he didn't think it would hold.
The ice maker never made ice from the first week; than the water stopped working; repairman suggested turning off the unit to give the internal wiring and parts time to warm up because he thought they were frozen because the temperature was too cold.
A third service appt is scheduled for next week with a different technician; I'll update. Sorry I didn't read the reviews first, I only relied on KitchenAid's past reputation and prior experience--everything changes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shelves are not totally adjustable making storage difficult. Main problem is ice maker - only makes 8 cubes in 8 hours. Have had repair out 2xs to try and resolve this problem and have had noluck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought new in May 2013. I'm now on #3 after two warranty replacements. All with same problem: not one of three of them has been able to cool either one side, both sides, or make ice. I would NEVER recommend this model, or those using the same cooling technology, despite its beauty. I believe there is a design issue with this model. Had to buy a cheap back-up fridge until this gets sorted. Can you imagine the, lets just say, inconvenience? Please be forewarned - beauty is only skin deep in this case.
Pros: Beauty
Cons: 3 new ones in a row faulty., does not work/cool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros-the fridge overall looks very nice in my kitchen and the lighting inside is very good. That seriously is where the pros end, that is all that is good about this fridge. Cons-The bottom trim piece in the front is cheap plastic and looks just that:cheap. It ruins the overall look of the fridge. Luckily you can't see it much when the doors are closed. Yes, I know this is a counter depth fridge and I have owned many in the past. But this one takes the cake for least amount of inside space. I cannot even fit a head of lettuce into the bottom drawers. They only pull out like 6 inches. The "adjustable" shelves on the door, aren't really all that adjustable. They will only really work in a certain configuration, or the door won't close. The shelves inside the fridge don't have that many options to move around either. I've had to adjust the temperature on both the fridge and freezer quite a bit to keep my food cold and not have lukewarm milk. So now that I have cold milk, the bottom of the fridge is too cold and is forming all kinds of ice behind the drawers. I have gotten used to the control panel for ice and water, but whenever someone comes over, they can't figure it out. It is a little confusing and not all that easy to use. I literally could keep going, but I will stop there. These were the major points. If you're going to spend this much on a fridge, spend it on a different one, or different brand altogether. Not impressed with this one at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator ~ a month ago. So far so good. I wish the shelves had additional adjustments. Otherwise, it works well. The stainless finish is not easy to keep clean. A bit pricey for what you get. Also vegetable bins are small.
