[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jury's still out. We've had problems with the ice maker and had a repair man hopefully fix it. The stainless steel finish is very time consuming to keep clean with an active family with small children. The water/ice on the door, at first, was very complicated to use and most of the features are unnecessary. But mostly we like our refrig.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ice maker/water dispenser randomly stops working

This was my first large kitchenaid appliance - i grew up with the professional mixer and so thought the same quality would apply to the large appliances. We recently remodeled out kitchen, and put in this fridge, and kitchen-aid double ovens. Both have had what I suspect are computer-based issues. This refrigerator occasionally (4 times in the past 7 months) has stopped making ice and we've tried everything...unplugged, turned the power off and on at the breaker, changed the filter, checked the line, etc. The longest this has lasted was one week. The day before the repairman was to come, the ice suddenly began to appear again. The water dispenser has stopped working twice over this time - not at the same time as the ice maker. In both cases, the water dispenser has started to work again within 24 hours. The only non-computer related issue we have had is with the surprisingly cheaply made vegetable bins - the door has pulled off twice (collapsing the bin, which you can then jenga back together, but it just seems shoddily made.)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This unit replaces the same size JennAire, and fridge doesn't come close to containing the items I wish to store. Also don't like that the fridge storage drawers don't pull out fully. On freezer side, the door icemaker and dispenser takes up too much room. We had a service call early on because the ice cube water supply froze. Cosmetically, the front of the unit should also be a dull finish so fingerprints wouldn't bee so obvious.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful but absolutely flawed.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Bought new in May 2013. I'm now on #3 after two warranty replacements. All with same problem: not one of three of them has been able to cool either one side, both sides, or make ice. I would NEVER recommend this model, or those using the same cooling technology, despite its beauty. I believe there is a design issue with this model. Had to buy a cheap back-up fridge until this gets sorted. Can you imagine the, lets just say, inconvenience? Please be forewarned - beauty is only skin deep in this case.
Pros: Beauty
Cons: does not work/cool., 3 new ones in a row faulty.
