Had this trimmer since December 2013. Still works great, however the plastic beard guard just gave out on me and broke the other day at it's weakest point in the plastic (where it turns to make a 90 degree angle).
After so many years of reliable service, not even an oiling, I'll be replacing this with the new edition.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the 3500 Beard Trimmer to get control of my shaggy mustache and goatee. I used it for the first time yesterday and I couldn't be happier. It is very easy to use and my facial hair has never looked this neat. I highly recommend this product.
Pros: simple length adjustment., no need for multiple combs., fast charging time.
Cons: none at this time.

I have other trimmers that are supposedly chargeable but this one actually lasts beyond one use!!! I am very pleased with the trimmer adjustments and the nice job this trimmer does. But I really am pleased with the charge this trimmer holds.... really lasts a long time.
Pros: quality, good price, great battery charge, easy to use, cuts nicely and doesn't pinch, easy to hold on to

I have used Philips / Norelco Trimmers before. In fact, this is intended to replace a MUCH older model that is no longer quite right. I think that with this trimmer it is REALLY important to read the [easy to read] instructions. At first, I was not quite sure how to hold / position this as it is a little bit different from earlier Trimmers. However, once I reread the instructions, I found that the trimming went VERY smoothly. I also think that the "gradations" here (i.e., hot much you "move" the shield when you change the setting) is a bit more "nuanced" than my earlier models (which is a good thing a it allows for more precision in the trimming). In practice, what it meant was that I had to readjust the setting a few times to get it as close as I wanted. However, once "set" this all worked very well.
Pros: was an excellent trimmer
Cons: trimming was a bit slow at first

This product is perfect for beard and hair trimming of any type. The adjustable comb head allows you to cut your hair at various heights, and to even cut your hair with a fade.

It doesn't keep charge for one time trim

Less than 6 months old trimmer is not keeping charge for trimming beard one time.
Pros: doesn't have too many parts, easy to use
Cons: doesn't keep charge for long after 4 months, noise after few months
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
