I have only used a few times, but it seems to hold a charge well, and the guide is easy to remove and replace. I like that you can remove the blades completely and clean them. I purchased because it will also run corded. There is nothing worse that the battery dying in the middle of trimming your beard, and you cannot plug in and finish.
Pros: runs corded or cordless

Great beard trimmer!

I like to keep my beard of varying lengths and find it hard to find a good adjustable trimmer. I bought this a year or so ago and it has been fantastic! Good sharp blades, lots of settings for length, holds a charge forever (it has never died on me even when on the road for a few weeks and not charging), and is lightweight for travel.
The plastic guard on the top did crack after a year or so of use, but Philips was super helpful online and sent me a courtesy replacement part! Really happy with the product and service!
Pros: multiple lengths, holds a charge very well

I think the comb needs to be finer or something but I'm back to trimming with my scissors. I just misses too many hairs. It's pretty good for the eyebrows if you really dig it in and go over them many times.

It trims hair...

If you are just looking for a product that will trim your beard, this will probably work for you. If you are looking for any level of detail, you may want to look elsewhere.
With the guard completely removed the clipper doesn't work that well. Trying to draw in a line is useless and I end up having to use my Mach 3 with the detail blade. I had my beard professionally sculpted and the trimmer he used drew the line in nicely and I just had to finish cleaning up with a mach 3, to get it very smooth. This trimmer doesn't do that at all. It just doesn't cut hair shorter than .5 mm or whatever the length is. It only seems to cut when you go against the grain, which makes it impossible to draw.
It does do a good job of simply trimming hair and you can use it while it's plugged in. However I need a trimmer that cuts closer to the skin. I'm probably going to try out the Philips 5000 next, however not sure what I'm going to do with this one.
Cons: doesn't cut short enough, impossible to create any detail

Poor trimming painful experience.

Used product twice its cut me twice. Pulls hair more than it cuts. Blades to far apart to get a close trim.
