In Europe (at least Spain and France), voice works fine with another non-verizon sim card, but there is an annoying message like "This is not a verizon sim card". Another one, if you want to active data mobile like 4G/LTE it is necessary active roaming although you have a local sim card (and another annoying message advertising "roaming is activated". And, at the end, it is HSPA+, setup like global net. I have an T-mobile bought in USA, and is perfectly, here in Europe. NOT BUY A VERIZON DEVICE IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE IT, OUTSIDE USA. The tecnology of the net, is CDMA, only valid in USA. GSM is the net protocol in T-mobile, valid at the whole world.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have bad arthritis and have managed to destroy larger phones despite great cases. I rarely drop this one. Performance could be smoother but otherwise everything on it is perfect.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: slow processing
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the fact how small it is fits perfectly in my pocket not really a big fan of huge phones plus it's rely good on reminders plus apps
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, good camera, good battery life, like incognito tabs, good texting board
Cons: can't read my text on the notifications bar
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product is small but has all of the quality of a bigger one. Mine has been dropped several times and is still in great condition so it's very durable. It has high color quality and I love the camera. The sound could be a little better but overall I think that it is the best phone that I have had.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, easy to use
Cons: poor sound quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great phone

This phone has almost all of the features of its larger family members, and fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. Its holds its own with speed and definition, but the only con is that the hard drive fills quickly from app storage, and the battery life isn't very long.
Overall though, I would highly recommend for a functional, easy to use phone.
My wife and I both had a larger Samsung phone, which we were very happy with, except for the fact that it was so large. Neither one of us used our phones for anything other than pleasure, convenience and social media. The Samsung Gallery S4 mini was the answer to all our concerns, and sometimes frustrations. We liked all the features - but especially for me carrying the phone, without the use of a pocketbook, was a challenge. The Gallery S4 mini was a god sent phone - we have all the features we wanted in the larger phone but the option to carry in our pants pocket. We got the best of both worlds!
Great phone for those of us who don't need the latest (and largest?) smartphone available! It does everything my husband's S5 will, for the most part, and isn't the size of a small brick inside a protective case.
