Installation frustration

I had bought two of these to install on the water heater and A/C closet door. I had already replaced all other knobs in the house with lever style knobs. They are such a pleasure to install. The lever is removable so you can install the inside retainer ring. You have clear access to the screws and it all goes together great. But with this knob you have to do some strange twist and push action to attach the inside knob. And hope that it caught the head of the screw correctly. You try to tighten the screws by putting the screw driver in an awkward angle and trying not to knock the trim ring loose again. In this process you booger up the screw head plus you are trying not to mar the finish on the knob. If this had been designed so the knob could have been removed this would all been a snap. Takes too much time and patience to get done.

Wear out too Quickly

We installed Kwicklock exterior doors when we built an addition to our house eight years ago. We have had to replace the front door lock twice since then. The otating cylinder which retracts the bolt becomes worn, and wears a semicircular notche in the half cylinder. This prevents the bolt from fully retracting. Dissapointing

Terrible instructions

I bought this set to replace an old broken kwikset and the directions were awful. I finally called my son who has 2 engineering degrees to help. He said the same thing. Parts were included with no instructions as what to do with them. Finally got on best we could. It works, but definitely not perfect.

Can't get to the screws during installation

I love the look and finish of the Juno knob. The installation was easy until I had to screw in the two long screws when attaching the knobs. Had to buy a skinny screwdriver just to clear the knobs, and even then, had to screw in at a weird angle that took a bit of force. Marked up the door paint trying to tighten the screws. And why isn't the name "Juno" on the box?? Most of the experience was frustrating and time consuming for an easy job.

Poor manufacturing and quality control.

Poor manufacturing and quality control. The holes for the tightening screws are 90 degrees off from where the tightening screws are mounted. There is no way to twist the knob plate to align the holes with the tightening screws. Returning this the retailer.

New design is difficult to install

Just installed one of these. These are now designed so you don't remove the screws that hold the 2 halves together, but you have to twist the halves apart and then twist again to install. The screws are difficult to turn when assembling. The old design was much simpler. Take 2 screws out, put 2 screws back in. Looks like a designer had too much time on their hands. Still a good knob set but more complicated than it nneds to be.

Great for our closet…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Juno hall/closer knob in Venetian bronze is a nice pretty door knob and we chose to use it on our hall closet. Was easy to install and only took me 5 minutes. Looks really good and plan on buying more.
