[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this color. I changed all my doors and fixtures to it. It's modern and sleek. I attempted to paint my doorknobs at first but believe me that doesn't last. These knobs are well made and easy to install. Anyone can do it! They haven't tarnished, chipped, or scratched. Highly recommended! My house looks so much better now! This is a simple way to update your home.

Corporate: You could add instructions that the 2 screws onto which the inner knob fasten should not be adjusted before the "turn counter-clockwise and then turn clockwise" process. That is an amazing and simple installation feature.
Otherwise, I can't add anything new to all the 5-star reviews. Since the 1st Kwikset "Smart key" knob I installed 4 years ago is performing perfectly, this one should also. The lifetime warranty is outstanding, and it appears from the reviews that any adjustments/replacements are handled satisfactorily. I would emphasize the apparent quality and durability. We install and forget about them.
BTW, upon moving in 30 years ago, we replaced passage lock knobs on 4 outer doors (deadbolt - passage sets or total of 8 locks) with Kwikset. All but 2 (this new one and one 4 years ago) are functioning fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

doesn't say your existing key needs to be Kwikset

There is nothing on the box or website that says your existing key needs to be a Kwikset key. Didn't find out till I got it home, opened it up and read the instructions inside.

Great product

I got it home and changed all the knobs on my dresser. It looked really nice so I went back and bought even more for all the dressers I the house

easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most of the accent colors in my house are black so I needed a darker color to go with it all. I decided to start replacing the doorknobs since that was a pretty easy task and went with these. They look great and also were easy to install.

Product Failure

Six 991J 3 SMT CP K4 combo entry/deadbolt packs bought on 10/16/2023. One deadbolt key failure (wouldn't turn) out of the box. Warranty repair OK. 30 days later, in service now, entry lock failure-key won't turn. Warranty Repair in progress. This is getting OLD.

I bought this as a replacement for a knob I installed previously that broke. This latest version is a downgrade. It has exposed screws and is more difficult to install the screws.
