I love this case! otter box makes a great product. my only problem was with the screen protector, if you put your phone in your pocket things like dirt and lent get in behind the screen and it makes it hard to see. but nothing cleaning cant fix. great case overall.

This Otter case is an excellent protective case for any cell phone, however, the plastic holder, that the protective case snaps into, lacks performance when it comes to the belt loop clip... I was warned before I purchased the otter about how weak this clip was , and I found out within 6 months , because mine broke also.. Otter stands behind their warranty and after going through all the paper work, they were fast at replacing it.. But if the case catches on your car seat or anything else, it has a tendency to break this clip..
Pros: High quality, phone cover is great
Cons: Not durable, plastic clip on the case retainer is not durable

I love my Otter and so does my husband! I was always dropping my old phone because the surface was slippery. The Otter protects, is stylish, and durable. I had a plastic case for a phone 15 yrs ago . and it broke in the same fashion , "swivel on belt clip " ,,,
so I tried this one , the swivel worked till I tried to take phone out ,then it hung up on shirt & jacket , and broke ,,,,
other problems ** you clothes "shirt gets caught in the plastic case & the when you try to remove it pulls phone out as well .
** unless you make sure all 4 corners are in when snap it in it the phone will fall out ...
it's a good idea ,but poorly planned !
if ya drop it ,it will take up to a 10 ft drop ..anything higher will break . the case ,,,a friend has one & his broke falling from top a flat bed load .tarping load ,but his was past 1 yr warranty ..

I purchased a Droid Mini because it was small and compact - similar to smart-phones I've been using over the years. I knew I needed a protective cover, so I bought two. One was an Otter Box, the other was by Griffin.
When the phone and the covers arrived, I tried all combinations. I immediately put the Otter Box back in its container and prepared to return it. It turned my small and compact Droid Mini into an in-pocket, or on-the belt albatross. I don't want that kind of device hanging off of me, nor do I want to carry it around in it's own customized back-pack...it's that big!
Yesterday I bought a few other accessories from Griffin. Today I returned the Otter Box. I'm sure some folks have the need for Otter Box protection, but I prefer a smaller and more manageable package, such as that offered by Griffin - and I'm sure available from others, too.
The customer service from Otter Box has been great, including the return procedure. However I prefer not to have my day-to-day appearance, wardrobe and dexterity be dominated by an Otter Box.

The new design disapoints

I bought a new phone, Droid Mini, and got an Otterbox for it because I loved the Otterbox for my Droid Pro. This case still protects the phone very well. I do not like the screen protector being part of the case rather than a separate piece. It makes an area between to the protector and the screen, and that makes the screen effectively less sensative which is quite annoying. Also, When the protector gets scratched, I can't just replace the screen protector like I did on my previous phone. The other problem I have with this case is the cradle. The little hooks/balls that hold the phone in the case seem to be a little to small. My phone falls out of my case to easily during daily use. On the plus side. The case itself looks pretty good and protects the phone well from the falls from the cradle and when I constantly drop my phone. The reason I rated it a 2 stars is because although the case protects my phone very well, I expect more for something with this price tag.

Cons: makes screen less sensative
