So far it is great. Only dropped it once, though, since using the case and it was not from very high off the ground. It does appear to be tough enough to prevent damage, though. So far, it was worth the money!

I had this case on my phone and the screen broke. No i did not hit it or drop it in any way, the phone was simply in my pocket and the cases did not even protect it from breakage. Case needs to be redesigned to keep the phone actually protected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is an awesome phone case. It is very durable. My protective screen got scratched and I dropped it hundreds of times, but NEVER messed up my phone.
The warranty is great as well!
The only thing is I wish the offered a water proof version with this phone and there was an easier access port to the sd card. Other than that great phone!

Never has failed to protect the phone, I purchased a defender for my first Droid X that I had for 2+ years and the phone was still like brand new when I upgraded to the Droid Maxx. The new case for the Maxx has performed as well or better for 4 months now. I work in industrial construction so my phones have always been subject to everyday abuse, the Otter box defender is hands down the best option for protection I have found. The holster is the weakest link due to the belt clip breaking fairly easily, but OtterBox has replaced all of my broken holsters under warranty no questions asked. Customer service is tremendous and local, not overseas somewhere. Thanks OtterBox!

For such and expensive case it is not made right. I keep getting moisture in between my phone screen and screen protector. I have not had this phone anywhere near water or sweat. I dont understand what is going on with it.
