I purchased a OtterBox for my Droid Razr Maxx, seems that they did not make the Razr Maxx for too long. There are plenty of Razr and Razr HD cases and it to a while but OtterBox got it right. There customer service is fantastic. The inner box is a quite hard to get apart though.

Yesterday , 7/26/2014 I was at my hunting club tilling with my walk behind tiller , I had just used my phone , when I am in the woods I do not use my holder that came with the otterbox , I use a black nylon case , anyway it fell and I did not see it , later when it rang I back tracked and found it under the dirt .... now I see a little mark on the back of it , so the tiller had to have hit it .... its still fine ! Very Nice Item !!!

Cons: i just like having my phone covered on my side .

I have Droid Maxx and the Otterbox Defender case. I am an over the road trucker and I wanted reliable protection for my phone. The Otterbox has done what I thought was impossible!!! While working inside a trailer, my phone ended up on the floor when a forklift came in and ran over it! The phone was screen side up when it got ran over. The only damage to my phone was that the screen got cracked, but the phone was still usable by voice commands and bluetooth! I am sure that if the phone had not been in the Otterbox case, I would have been gathering up a pile of parts off the floor of my trailer!
I would recomend the Otterbox to ANYONE that wants the best protection available for their device.

I had a Defender for my Droid Maxx for over a year and I was getting out of my truck, the strap on my backpack snagged the holster and snapped it off. I contacted OtterBox wanting to buy a replacement holster and they sent a completely NEW complete kit! Can't beat that at all!

Most of the things about the case are good but it should have a window for the front camera. The web site shows an ad with a window for the front camera but there really is no window on that side of the case. I’m still not convinced the phone will not fall off the belt clip. I think it would be a better case if it did not have a clear cover over the front of it since most people put replaceable screen covers on them anyway. And without the clear plastic screen cover there would not be a problem with the front camera window.

There is NO other case made, that will protect your phone like an Otter Box. Period ! Plus the staff there are the best there is also. Very helpful, and truly care about you, and your experience or concerns. We recently experienced a loss in our family, and every one at Otter Box, at Ft. Collins, signed, and sent us a really nice card, and we could tell it was from the heart.
These people care about the prouduct they sell, and more important, about the people they sell them too !

This is my second Otter Box, but first time needing a rugged case. Although a bit bulky it’s well worth it. I work construction and for the first time I got a new “smart” phone rather than a hand me down because I tend to break them at work. Long story short I dropped my phone that I had less than a week, from 30-35 feet off a lull onto cement. Luckily I had the Commander on it. It ended up hitting the corner of the phone, and I thought I’d be explaining to the wife how I just ruined a new phone. Much to my surprise when I got to the ground and turned the phone screen on there was absolutely no damage! I will from here on out use no other case but an Otter Box. Great product and recommend to anyone that truly needs the toughest phone case out there.
