The Defender case appears to be a very durable and offers what appears to be great protection, I have not dropped mine yet so don't know for sure.
The belt clip on the other hand, well in 2 months time have broken the second one, hooked my steering wheel on the way out of the car this time, only took one time snapped it in half. first time hooked on kitchen counter. The clip needs improvement.
I said I would recommend to a friend, only with telling them about the clip. It got replaced first time after jumping through many hoops, have not tried this time as yet, had a few other more important things to take care of, plus my printer is down.
Pros: High quality, Durable
Cons: Not durable

So the case is great and it protects your phone very well!!! But here is the issue and it is not with the case but with the case holder which clips to your belt, it has a feature that is its demise if you look at it there is a way for you to hold the clip open so you can use it as a stand for you phone. This feature when you sit down will flip out and the phone will be in the out position and the next time you sit down the phone will catch on the arm rest and brake. But fear not Otter box will replace it but you need to follow the instructions when filling warranty clam. Five stars ***** from me as a customer. They just need to improve case holder !! Hope they are reading this stuff.

Item needs to be better engeneered as the rubber surround the phone stretches thereby causing another unnecessary warenty problem.

Outstand protection. Though I've only had mine a month, my last Motorola Razr had a similar Otter Box case, and it allowed my phone to survive two fairly rugged years, and looked brand new when I turned it in for upgrade. I expect much the same from this one.

I ride a motorcycle everyday. I sometimes need to stop and handle my phone for a text or looking at the maps. The larger case on the Otterbox makes it very easy to pull the phone out of my pocket and perform my tasks. The rubber body makes the grip very secure but when you do drop it (I’ve done it a few times now), the damage is just a scuff on the case. Best protection your phone could have short of leaving it home in a drawer.
Pros: High quality, Durable, large case, thick screen protection
Cons: larger case (if you don't have big pockets)

I've had the Defender case for about 10 days now. The case itself is very nice; snug fit, quality construction and very "grippy".
It's not likely to slip out of your hand. Gives me confidence about an accidental fall etc. The belt clip is another story. It lasted just a few days before it broke. I am not impressed with it. Just a little bump on it from the right angle and the clip will snap off. Maybe it was just defective. If you would consider sending me a replacement, I will re-evaluate it then.

Tabs and Curved Silicone at front Need Redesign

After a Year the Silicone Tabs have torn Off and the Thin Curved Silicon on front of case has Split. Redesign the Silicone using cloth Inserted Silicone
Pros: case is strong
Cons: tabs rip off, silicone is weak and splits & tears
