The Defender Series Case for Motorola Moto X is like having a shield of armor around your phone. I can be rough on a phone bumping or scrapping against things. The case takes all the beating and the phone looks and works like new.

The case does not stay on the clip and the chance of losing your phone is high. The same case for other brand of phone has a snap that hold it in place and can only come apart when you unsnap case from the clip.

Good But Case Has A Design Flaw

I've had several Otterbox cases over the years. The Defender Series for the MotoX has been great. Nice fit and performs well.
They did make one mistake. On the top of the case the tab where you would insert a headphone plug has a hole on the wrong side. To insert the headphone plug you have to open the tab up

I am very pleased with my otter defender series phone case.
It has a nice slip proof, easy to handle outer shell. I am quite the klutz and managed to knock it off my desk. It is still functioning accurately without any ill effects. I choose a purple cover with baby blue trim and have received many compliments on the cover as well as the phone.
