Unfailingly reliable

I've had my PIXMA MG3500 for a year and find it unfailingly reliable; you just have to use genuine Canon printer cartridges. The cartridges seem to last much longer than those of my previous printer (HP). The user manual is easy to use and comprehensive. Yes, it prints slowly and only takes a half inch of paper, but that's fine for my home desk.

scanning

Fine except when trying to scan. Have been trying forever, to no avail to scan 1 document. Tried on line help, no. Manual, no. Self-help, no. How can you say all-in-one (scan included) when there are no buttons or go-to references for it?

I have had this printer for a few months ago. I was able to make it print a few good color copies. It said black ink was low so I bought a cartrige and installed; this after months of it not doing anything. The wireless light (blue) is on. Two green lights and the omionus blinkning yellow light. The printer makes sounds like it's loading paper,,,,that's all. I push the PRINT button in the controls; same routine. I'll give it one more chance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I HATE THIS PRINTER!

This printer has been the worst experience I've ever encountered with an electronic device, and I am known to be tech savvy. This printer refuses to cooperate after being setup and placed on the same network to print over WiFi. I could not even print off emergency Christmas gifts today, because the device is somehow no longer visible and I need to troubleshoot and experiment with reinstalling the drivers, again. MIND YOU, the printer is showing up on my phone, but won't print either. I often tell my wife that I am going to take this printer out to a field with a baseball bat and beat it like they did in the movie Office Space. (Google: Office Space - Printer Scene)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It seemed cool at first. Everything was running smoothly and then out of nowhere in less than 6 months the dang thing just won't turn on.
Pros: Compact Design, fast print speed
Cons: Dull Tones & Colors, High Ink Consumption, unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The worst printer I've ever had

This replaced an excellent Canon PIXMA which died. This one is really bad: The instructions are confusing and trouble shooting is next to impossible. It's supposed to be wireless; I can print in the wireless mode but can't get it to scan unless connected to my computer. I've tried to get answers to my problems, but can't by any means. Until now Canon printers were my favorites.
Pros: Compact Design, durable
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Difficult Setup, High Ink Consumption, unreliable, cannot get it to work right.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Print quality looks pretty good so far. Could not make make wireless connection with my network after numerous attempts. Instructions were very vague and confusing. Gave up in frustration and connected w/ USB cable. Disappointed about the printer's inability to connect wirelessly but as long as it prints via USB...
