Worst Printer I've ever had

I've had this printer for about a year and it has had so many issues that it's hard to recount them all. It has randomly turned off despite being plugged in, will currently not connect to the WiFi, and has done these on several occasions. This printer has been the cause of so much duress and is simply the worst printer I've ever used.

Easy To Use + Cheap

Very good printer for the price. Although printing speed does lack somewhat compared to its competition, it makes up for its ease of setup and use. I needed a printer urgently to print some of my portfolio pieces and what came out was more than sufficient color quality and consistency. I recommend this surely for anyone who is looking for a bang for your buck.
Pros: ease of use, simple, Easy Setup, reliable
Cons: somewhat slow printing, lack of features

Bad Design-High Noise & Ink Use

Printer is Big. Makes loud priming and whirr click noises on every print job start and also loud whirr click noises after each print job. Quiet mode has no effect on this. Ink is used to prime on each print job if not done within a few minutes of the previous job.
Scan is slow and each time in wireless mode the scanner must be found and warmed up. My canon lide 110 scanner just scans and is done.
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky, Difficult Setup, High Ink Consumption, bad noise
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hard to install

My previous review was rejected, so I will keep this one simple. I would not buy this product again and would not recommend it to others. It was difficult to install and I frequently have problems getting it to print or scan.
Cons: unreliable

Printer not turning on - possible fix

For those of you with the issue of the printer not turning on, I believe the problem is with the Auto Power settings. Disable auto power off. You may need to leave the printer unplugged for a bit so it will 'forget' then plug it back in and it should turn on. Make sure it is connected to the computer, and then you should be able to change the power settings.
Canon: there is no reason default settings should disable the printer. Would not recommend this until issue is fixed.
Pros: Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: auto power settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

DONT BUY IT

Honestly if I could do it all over again then I wouldn't. This is the worst printer I have ever seen. It wont register on my windows 8 laptop or my desktop. it makes lines and stuff I dont need. I'm considering burning the darn thing

I had to give up my other canon printer because they stopped supporting the driver. This one, 10 years newer, is larger, slower, louder, and poorer print quality.
